Hi there. I'm a heavier girl and I swim every morning before work. I used to do a lot of cardio at the gym until I had to have an arthroscopic hip repair. Now, swimming is the best exercise for me. Once you're in the water you'll start to focus more on technique and breathing and you'll forget about others around you. I…

I have a Polar FT7 that I wear in the pool 5 days a week. I love it. It's lasted about 2 years so far and I've only changed the battery in the chest strap and watch once each. I got mine for around $80 (I think) from heartratemonitorsusa.com.

I want to be your friend based solely on your use of this phrase. I always feel like I'm walking to Mount Doom without the ring. Best of luck on your journey.

What? No mention of her whispering eye? Hardly classifies as "pervish" behavior.

I actually attend a Zumba class with several men. Their wives used to bring them along and when the wives stopped attending the husbands stayed. They are entertaining and the instructor will have them come to the front of the class and help lead certain songs. They're a pretty fun and rowdy bunch.

I'm a BIG fan of this option for food days. We have one coming up for the team I'm on and this really makes a statement. http://www.winextra.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/baby.jpg

I use my Polar FT7 daily and I feel that it is accurate. i know when I push myself and it is generally reflected on my calories burned. I also use it when I lift weights, but because I'm pressed for time in the morning I don't take standard rests after reps. I'll do a set of squats or lunges and then do something with my…

My A&P teacher said that he had it done and it was the best $5k he ever spent. A word of warning, go to a LASIK doctor who has a great reputation. It's easy to get caught up in the "LASIK mills" as my bff's uncle (ophthalmologist) calls them just because they're cheaper, but typically those are the patients that need to…

Try using a stability ball. Lie on your back or sit on the edge of a chair. Place the ball between knees and squeeze and hold. I do those and it feel it in my inner thighs. Hope that helps.

I swim every morning and occasionally there is a woman that comes in and does her calisthenics on the pool deck. I'm talking full on crunches, runs in place with her tennis racquet in hand and jumping jacks. She also does her crunches with a pool noodle wrapped around her neck. My favorite thing she does is when she throws…

The wrong people notice me. Like the creepy guy at the Circle K. Or the kid that tried to shave his own name into the back of his head and missed some of the letters. The guy with the excessive amount of earwax creeping out of his ears. Why? Pretty much the guys I'd like to notice me don't and the ones I like to hide from…

I'm currently reading The Stupidest Angel; A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror by Christopher Moore. All of his work is hysterical. I'd recommend Fool and Lamb too.

Honestly, it usually happens around my 30 lb loss. I start to notice at 20 lbs little things, but at 30 other people will comment on my progress.
