I lost my weight only by dieting and ended up skinny fat, then lost some more instead of moving my laizy butt until I got underweight. At that point I had a revelation and got off the couch and started eating like a normal person. All is good now, just don't do like me :)

Sorry, English isn't my 1st language :D

In Japan fat people are discriminated and embarassed more than in other corners of the world. How is it that they are not all obese? Why are they thinner than most? Stop blaming others or fate or other immaginary reasons.

I'm 5'9 and also pear shaped. I had to go to the underweight category to notice a bigger change in my thighs. I'm now pretty happy with them, but would still love to see them smaller. The thing is I can't lose any more weight because it's not healthy, so now I'm just doing my best to tone them. Toning did help a lot when…

I do yogilates and I really enjoy it. After the class I am more relaxed and I sleep like a baby. It did tone my whole body, but not by a lot. I think you should join a class instead of youtube videos because you need a teacher to show you how to do the poses right. If you don't do them right you don't feel the strech and…

I was at 1200 for many months and slowly upped the cals. As soon as I saw a small weight loss I went up by 100 again and so on. I'm currently at 1500 and didn't gain any weight.

Back to Paris Do you have any pets?

You're right! I got bad comments at first, but after a while they stopped. I just ignored them and moved on with my plans. I don't live my life to please others and make them feel good about themselfes.

I am a thin pear shape and still got the hip/bum curves.

How is it that BMI is ignored/dismissed only by overweight people? If an underweight would happen to say something like this you would all send him/her to the doctor regardless of bone structure or eating habbits.

I don't and never did. It's not possible to look like someone else, you can only go for the best version of yourself.

I lost most of my weight at 1200. I upped to 1400 and lost some more, but much slower.

Your mind needs time to catch up with your new size. At first I used to try on huge things when I went shopping because that's how I still saw myself. Now it's all good :)

1) -boil it in water+salt until it's thick -serve it with: sour cream, shredded cheese, butter, boiled eggs Not very low cal, but good. 2) -boil in water and salt until it's thick -put a few tablespoons into a plate filled with cold milk 3) - boil in milk and honney

I understand you. When I started this journey I was thinking about my highschool weight and how I thought I was fat(about 40pounds difference, like you). I was upset with myself for not enjoying those thin years more. My goal was to get close to that weight and now I am exactly at it. My grown up self no longer sees that…

Thanks for a good post :)

I am pear shaped, so my tops stayed about the same: started at M/L and ended at M/S. I just bought one intermediate pair of jeans because all other stuff were falling off me and stayed in them until I reached what was my GW back then. Of course my GW lowered a bit after that and the pants I bought are no longer tight, but…

Lifting a cheesburger off a plate and holding it in the air without taking a bite is 'hard work'.

I would like mine back also because sitting in a car for more than 1-2h is painfull for what I have left of my butt.

Leading by example didn't work so well in my case. It was when the doctor told my bf to do pilates for his back things started moving. I was the one that found the class and went along to keep him on track. Now that the class is on a break, I work out at home to keep my fitness level, he is back on the couch :(

Average is good for every day life, but you can't force designers to put their art on people that won't flatter it and show it off on the catwalk.

She's not fat, but I do find her weight average and that's not good enough for a model.

My mother and I are both pear shapes. Since I was a teenager and started developing curves she kept on telling me that my butt is big. She projected her pear shape complex onto me and made me hate my booty. I was at a healthy weight, so pointing out the size of my hips/butt was not necessary. I am now a 29yo woman that…

I would stare too: you look awesome :)

I need some metal screaming in my ears to motivate me. At the moment I'm using Finntroll for that because it's happy and loud and makes me 'dance' on the elliptical.

Awesome link, thank you. In my opinion also the french are the same. They put cheese on everything and yet they are stick thin. The only chubby people I saw there were the tourists.

Hope this works :D
