  • The 'just have a bite' thing doesn't work for me. If I get to taste something I end up eating the whole thing. A person pushing me all the time to have a taste would certainly ruin my diet. Try talking to him, maybe he'll understand.
  • Eu sunt cam de un an si ceva cu mici pauze
  • I hurt my knees just from walking from home to work(10km). I am not overweight, just out of shape. The doctor told me there's no permanent dammage, but I'll have to use the car for 2-3weeks then gradually increase the walking distance. He also told me that I didn't win the genetic lottery when it comes to knee-cap shape…
  • Salmon and milk
  • Your weight is a personal matter. As long as you're healthy you shouldn't have to justify your choice to anyone. I'm sure you're life's mission isn't to make you mil happy, so just ignore her and do what you want.
  • Weight loss is not exact science as much as we try to make it. Don't worry, I'm sure you didn't gain any real weight.
  • After a binge I usually give it one week before I step on the scales again. This is because I don't want to see a big gain and then go into craizy restriction mode. I am also maintaining an underweight size for the same reasons: small frame + I like how it looks on me. I stopped at this weight because I was afraid to go…
  • I've been maintaining for about a year and I only plan to gain weight the day I am pregnant. Until then it is a lifestyle change + more because I still have to track what I eat and watch my weight like a hawk. It's not really pleasant to live like this, but the benefits of being at your desired weight are worth the…
  • Don't worry about the scale. You should start lifting weights instead of so much cardio. Be patient, give it a few months and you'll look great without dieting. At 60-65kg I'm sure you would be too skinny(that's a weight good for a girl you height!). My husband is ~67 at 1.80m and he is pretty skinny :p
  • Maintaining is like dieting + desert ;))
  • I wouldn't try to make weigh loss into exact science because there are too many variables to be considered. If you're hungry then eat your calories, if not don't stuff yourself because you may get sick. As long as you take the slow healthy road and not starve, just listen to your body and you'll be fine. Good luck and stay…
  • I also registered a team with the hope it will motivate me to stay active. I can't wait for it to start :)
  • Add Kangoo Jumps to the list. It's a killer workout and so much fun.
  • I came to accept the fact that I must watch what I eat for as long as I want to maintain my weight. Considering I don't want to lose any more weight I try to be good during the week and indulge on weekends. This has been working pretty good for the past few months. I just keep gaining and losing the same ~2 pounds. I won't…
  • I recently tried these yummy biscuits: - mix 2x ripe bannanas with a full cup of oats + a pinch of salt and maybe some raisins - make biscuits out of them and place them on baking paper - 15-17 mins in the oven They are sweet and flavored + no sugar
  • Last summer I used to get cold just from sittting under a tree(in the shade)!!! I upped my cals and started eating better and things are now good. I still feel colder than I used to when I was fat, but that's normal. Don't worry so much about the ideal weight thing stop where you feel good about yourself and don't endanger…
  • It may be some truth to it. In my mind that's the weight you maintain without making any sacrifices(eat things you like). You use intuitive eating and that's the weight you'll be at without thinking about your food choices. I am lucky and mine is not in the overweight zone, but the thing is I like my body more when it…
  • I did about 4 years ago. That's how long it took me to fit in a pair of jeans... Now I don't like them that much anymore because fashion changes
  • I had problems shopping for new clothes. I always picked a size or two bigger and had a nice surprise in the fitting room.
  • I gave yogilates a shot for a few months and I ended up with better muscle tone, but nothing too visible. It's the kind of sport that gets easy very fast. Now I'm into Kangoo Jumps and it's the best cardio I ever had. It's so much fun that you just can't take a break although you're covered in sweat and out of breath :) I…
  • I've lost all my weight only dieting. It was very slow and I didn't look so good in the end. Now I've started working out to change my skinny-fat look and things are a lot better. Try to do as little as you can to preserve your muscles because you won't be very happy when you reached your GW
  • I agree. It's fine to judge a skinny woman and tell her to go eat a burger, but you can never tell a fat one to go eat a salad. I'm sick of people on this forum telling others to go have their heads checked just based on how they look. I was at ~1200 for many months and upped my cals very slowly. This worked just fine. As…
  • I don't think you are anorexic considering you don't want to lose weight. My husband is kinda like you. He hates the feeling of a full stomach and eats very little. Since he started eating more healthy foods he also started to eat more because he was suddenly feeling better when it came to his digestion. He was a walking…
  • I was never overweight, but got very close to it. It wasn't easy at all to lose the weight, it took me about 1 year. I know I did it for vain reasons(not for health), but it was worth the struggle.
  • I'm sure you can do it. I had a 9am - 6pm(sometimes 7 or 8 pm) full time programmer job and went to school to study engineering. I did skip a lot of classes(went only to the mandatory ones) and my grades weren't very good, but I managed to finish my studies on time. I did this for 2 years and I was very tired, but I don't…
  • I just aproximated what I ate, had lunch at a restaurant every day and still lost weight. Unfortunately I'm kinda in the same situation as you, just a bit better I guess. I'm not that scared to go over my calories, I'm just afraid to increase them to maintainance. Because of my aproximation of food I stay on the safe side…
  • - moderation - better food choices - using the kitchen instead of the phone for dinner - patience to reach long term goals - exercising(yoga) - love of life(no more depression) - loving myself more - taking better care of myself(I'm talking about girly stuff like doing my nails...) - testing new healthy foods and…
  • For the undecided there's always yogilates
  • I usually say nothing because I can't encourage unhealthy behaviour. I don't think it's ok to delete people based on what they eat, so I just cheer things I agree with. Maybe if they look at other diaries and see people lose while eating more they may change the plan. People on the forum and friendlist made me up my cals…
