What would you do?

What would you do if your MFP friends were regularly eating way too little on top of exercising... to the point that their calorie deficits were in the negatives? Like they ate 700 calories but burned like 800. I'm struggling to support people like this that I'm friends with. I've commented and messaged encouraging them to eat more, but it's like you can lead a horse to water but can't get the horse to drink. :ohwell: When others comment "good job" and such on the completed diaries for the day I'm skeptical of whether I should do the same... Since do I really want to be encouraging extreme under-eating? No, I don't think so.
What are your thoughts? What would you do in this situation?

I usually say nothing because I can't encourage unhealthy behaviour. I don't think it's ok to delete people based on what they eat, so I just cheer things I agree with. Maybe if they look at other diaries and see people lose while eating more they may change the plan. People on the forum and friendlist made me up my cals from 1200 and I'm glad I did.0
