it didnt start during a run, its just been after runs that i have noticed it. It hasnt been a big deal really, but its getting worse now.
-
i am only at the end of week 1. Thanks for the advice re the ice pack :) Hopefully it wont stop me running though, i dont think it will.
-
Hi skinnylove :) Is that you in the photo- you dont look like you need to lose 30lbs.
-
I'm from Cornwall, you can all feel free to add me!
-
Weekends and evenings are not possible for me, as i am a single parent and my kids arent old enough to be left. Not to worry though, if anyone fancies doing any walks/runs during the day, let me know :)
-
glad to see i am not the only one!

^^This. Nothing can give me the same taste as chocolate. I try and have it only when i have a really strong craving, like a TOTM craving, otherwise i try a low cal hot choc. Oh, and i too think carob sucks! Its like sawdust and leave a horrid aftertaste.
-
I just have to say that i am DESPERATELY unfit, so would really struggle to do loads of running. I am dead after my 1st C25K week! I would happily do what i can though.
-
Yep, thats the right one :) I would park in the park and ride too. If you are on route, i coudl pick you up on my way in if you ever fancied it (i promise i am not an axe murderer!!).
-
Thanks, this link is awsome!
-
Because your ticker shows a 34lb weightloss, whereas mine shows a 2lb weightloss!
-
Thanks Shannon, i am 168lbs and am looking to lose 30lbs.
-
Ahh, you answered my exercise Q, thanks :)
-
Wowza, 1700cals seems quite a lot for losing weight! But, i trust what you are all telling me, so am going to give it a go! What about exercise? Do i just carry on eating between my TDEE and BMR regardless of what exercise i do (i never do loads of exercise, just walking and i have started my C25K too)?
-
My BMR is 1540.9 So, should i eat in between 1540 and 1842 in order to lose then?
-
Thanks! Apparently my TDEE is 1842. I just have no idea what this number means. Is it the number of calories i should be eating a day -500 for WL?
-
That sounds great! I can get to Burrator easily, as i live in Callington, so would go via Tavistock, and could also get into Central Park every other week (just on a very tight budget as i am out of work at the moment, so got to be careful of petrol costs).
-
I'd love to do it! I have just started my C25K, so reckon i'll be ready in 8 months :) But i dont know if i'll actually be able to come into Plymouth regularly to do the training, as i live in Cornwall :(
-
To look good and have more energy.
-
I have always been very similar. I think my downfall is that as soon as i have started going on a 'diet' i cut out chocolate/crisps/pizza/wine and all those treats. What i am doing this time is different. First of all, i see this as a lifestyle change, which means its life long. Can i give up pizza/chocolate/wine forever?…
-
I can see it too, well done! Just goes to show the scales dont always reflect our hard work.
-
Because why not! i am healthy (weight aside) I am tackling my weight in a healthy way I went for a great walk this morning (3miles/5k) I started my C25K this week Its sunny I dont have major money worries Bring on the positivity!
-
I had pleurisy, and i too remember that agony, you have my sympathy. If you are in the UK, why not give NHS direct a call to ask how long you should stay off the training for? Hope you are better soon!
-
Tonight (Friday)- Pizza and Wine (my usual weekend treat), but instead of doing what i used to do (at least a bottle of wine and a whole pizza to myself) these days i stop at half that. Still working to get it to a quarter :) Saturday- Taking the kids out for a 3 mile walk around the lake Sunday- Housework catching up to…
-
Its 3 miles. The car park is very expensive though (P&D) so park your car further up on the big grassy area for free :) Its really pretty!
-
I didnt know that! I have just started the C25K as well, and tend to do it at either Colliford lake, or at Siblyback lake near St Cleer. Its so pretty :)
-
I'm just over theTamar Bridge, i live in Cornwall. Feel free to add me! Would be great to get together with some real life MFP buddies and go for runs (once i get fitter!!).
-
A grand total of 0lbs! Its OK though, i know it'll come off with time, i just have to carry on. After all, its not all about what i look like (although thsts the main focus), its also about FEELING strong, fit and healthy.
-
I DID IT!!! WoohHoo!! My 1st run of C25K done, outside in front of passing cars, mums pushing kids in strollers etc...i blinking did it!!!
-
^^Totally agree!
