NROLFW is great, I bought the book and did the first 8 weeks of that, and so is stronglisfts 5x5, I am about 7 weeks into that, the youtube videos were very helpful with my form. Both have great forums here on MFP if you have specific questions. Good luck!

I lift 3-4 times a week and the other days i use an ellitptical or run outside for 30-40 mins. If I do cardio on a lift day, it is 20 mins or less on the elliptical after I lift. I workout an average of 5 days out of every 7.

you look great, keep it up!

I was tired last night and plopped on the couch with a reece's peanut butter egg (which is my major weakness), telling myself I would work out "tomorrow". Fifteen mins later, I said to myself "get off your *kitten*", and proceeded to blast out a great 30 mins of intervals on our elliptical trainer- and burning off double…

Love this! You look great! (be careful with those knees.)

It discussed a lot of the causes and consenquences of the obesity epidemic in the US. Touches on the medical consequences, the impact of modern food…

For me personally there were two main things that affected my mood, getting some cardio (preferably a run or brisk walk outside) and easting healthy foods. Now when I eat processed foods, the added salt and refined sugar make me really lethargic and grumpy.

I liked the book and completed stage I, but didn't continue with it since I didn't have the right equipment. I got a couple of critical comments on a thread a few months ago, mostly saying that the subsequent stages seemed overly complicated. FWIW, I liked the results I got from Stage I last fall (I am doing…

I've been doing SL 5x5 with adjustable dumbells at home and have now maxed out their weight for squats and deadlifts (105lbs).

I started SL 5x5 with adjustable dumbells and am doing great. The down side is you max out the weight pretty quickly, especially for squats and deadlifts. My dumbells only go up to 52.5lbs each (105lbs total) and then I am stuck with no way to up the weight. I still have room to progress on the bench press, overhead press…
