Heavens, what a gloomy outlook! I've had a ring for nearly 25 years, and the kissing has NEVER been better! I'm just going to try to extend it a little after reading this! <3
-
Am I the only one wondering if it's really possible to kiss for 30 minutes straight? :O I'm not against giving it a try, though! Honey will be happy! :) I love this forum!

bumping this...thanks!

Totally agree!!! And there are so many great responses in this thread. So many of us need to hear these things (at least sometimes)... Thank you all...

I *thought* I didn't like a gap until I saw this picture...the middle girl has a heart shape!!! <3
-
Just wanted to add...why do you NEVER see those of us who LIKE to eat fewer calories telling others that they need to be eating under 1200? It's always the "eat more" crowd that thinks their way is the only way...even when we have proof that what we are doing is working for us.

bumping this...thanks for all the info! <3

bump...interesting reading - thanks!

Great thread! I wanna be you guys when I grow up! :) <3

Seriously? :O Somebody emphasizes discipline and/or denial, and they have a disorder? :O Contrary to popular opinion, self-discipline and self-denial are virtues inherent to good character. I like to talk about food in terms of "restriction," which of course, is an equally unpopular concept. But smart people RESTRICT…

Yes...I *LOVE* Yoga!!! The last several weeks, I have been walking 5-6 days/week and doing Jillian's 30 Day Shred about 5 days/week, so time-wise I haven't done any yoga until last week...I did a 65-minute Sean Corne DVD, and I was waaayyy more sore the next day than I have been doing my other workouts! It…

The bodies of people with anorexia (folks eating "too few calories") do ***not*** "store fat." EVER. The bodies of people actually in starvation mode in East Africa (folks eating "too few calories") do ***not*** "store fat." EVER. Just sayin'
-
Can't help it...gotta say it again...that is just beyond awesome! Thanks so much for the inspiration!

If you don't know if you're really hungry, drink some water and go to bed! Also, there's nothing wrong with feeling hungry (although that's not a popular opinion on here!) Personally, I'd much rather be too hungry than too full! Never wanting to feel hunger is what made me fat!

OK, this, and I'm done... YOU arbitrarily label something as "science," and then when I point out that it's not (with a simple grade-school definition,) you bristle up and resort to calling me names - "smart *kitten* kentucky science loving woman." (This, again, proves how little you know about me...I *hate* science...I…
-
Dan's last line, "Its science..." may explain why we're having a disconnect here. By definition, it most defnitely is NOT science!!! "Science is a branch of study dedicated to the accumulation and classification of OBSERVABLE FACTS." (emphasis mine.) *quoted from a general science textbook* My whole point is that when one…

Well, the question was "How do YOU...?" ...since "you" have had so much to say against my way of doing things...I sincerely wanted to know how "you" would reconcile the aforementioned question, precisely because I don't believe it *can* be reconciled, and apparently, "you" do! ???
-
OK, I understand that you believe that you have scientific/hormonal evidence...what I'm asking is, "How do you reconcile the fact that the anorexic's practical experience does not bear out the theory?" I know it's difficult (if not impossible) to judge my tone, but please know that I am not being contentious...
-
I have a sincere question... If 'starvation mode' really exists, why do anorexics continue to get thinner and thinner? Now, I know they're not healthy...I am asking strictly from a weight-loss perspective. (For that matter, being fat is obviously not healthy either...) Anyway, I'm asking in all sincerity - and I'm not…

You've Got Mail...hands down!

One more thing (yes, I sometimes talk a lot!)... If the time comes when I'm starving, or my thick, waist-length hair falls out, or I can only lay on the couch cause I have no energy... if I can't do Jillian's 30DayShred with more vigor than I've ever had (like I'm currently doing at age 42,) or walk/run for 60+ minutes 5-6…
-
Dan, since you're quoting *me,* I assume that you are talking to me and not to the OP...in which case, I was right in thinking that you aren't even really reading my posts before fussing on me...I have said *more than once* that I am NOT NOT NOT on an 800-calorie/day diet. Why is that hard to understand?
-
Right...to each his own...we're gonna have to agree to disagree. But I *would* like to clarify a couple of things... First, your implications that my metabolism is not "in line with a healthy lifestyle," that I'm not "experienc[ing] weight loss and living healthy," and not "eating at a regular state," are completely…

OK, I read it...First, I think it's funny/ironic that the whole premise was "You Are Not Different," yet the second section starts by stating, "Some people's bodies are, in fact, demonstrably more resistant to weight loss (or gain) than others." Ummmm, I *am* blonde, but being "demonstrably more resistant" would definitely…
-
OK, that was funny! :) How tall are you?
-
Nope...I'm doing Jillian's 30DayShred (among other things) and keeping my protein up. I am noticably stronger with more endurance and better muscle tone...I am *noticably* losing my gut and hips and tricep flab; those are *not* areas that I carry "lean muscle mass!"
-
How is it possible that you missed "I know everybody's different," "In my experience," and my personal favorite, "Please don't croak if that doesn't apply to you..." ???
-
VERY GOOD !!!
-
I know everybody's different, but last week, I averaged 922 calories/day and lost 1.8 pounds...went from 126.8 to 125 pounds. I worked out five days out of seven (average calorie burn - 310,) with good energy levels. In my experience, folks try to justify/defend a higher-calorie diet because they refuse to deny their…

I appreciate "[YOUR] THOUGHTS ON CHEAT MEALS!" To me, the best line in your post is "I think that the road to success is discipline." I have been thinking lately how sheer greed is what causes us so many problems, whether it's greed for money, material possessions, or food and drink. The key to this "success" is to flatly…
