I had a hard time deciding what to do too... It would be more beneficial for me if I could give up WEEKENDS!!! We eat fairly healthy as a family and loosen up a bit on the weekends, so that's when temptation is worst for me! (Unless you count vodka, which *I* wasn't willing to count!) :drinker:

Yeah, Mary, I wasn't trying to discourage the extra burpees...just saying that I didn't think they were *required!* I'm having NO starchy carbs this week...bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, my beloved granola... And for penance, 50 jumping jacks plus man-style push-ups to failure (no idea how many I can do...it *won't* be…

Motivation for today: It's up to me...and I *WILL* SUCCEED!!! (I'm trying to convince *myself* !!!) Oh, I only get 25 points for this week...I didn't get all my water on two days. My calorie burn for Sunday is only 136...it was a by-the-pose yoga practice, not a vinyasa flow (not a great workout, but really helped with…

For Sunday: workout: 60 minute yoga HIIT: 20 minutes stretch: 10 minutes new reps: 200 UB For the new reps, I did a thing on YouTube called "upper body cardio workout in bed with Laurel House." I didn't do it in bed, though! And there were a LOT more reps than that, but it felt kinda cheesy to claim several hundred reps…

And after my Thanksgiving slips (OK, deliberate bad choices,) I ate chocolate chip cookies today... :grumble: I *have* to get serious! :explode: Like I said before, I just seem to be having a harder time this challenge...staying focused or something... Aaaaannnddd, now my husband and youngest son have the cold that my…

I just wanna go on record as saying that I'm going crazy with the lack of activity on here!

OK, here's my latest report: Thursday: 50 minute walk with my stepmom, 150 calories; 100 reps; 8 minute stretch Friday: 35 minute walk with dad and stepmom, 105 calories; 8 minute stretch Saturday: 30 minutes with Leslie, 177 calories; 200 reps I entered this on the chart, and I totaled Friday and Saturday in Friday's…

Well, I think I'll win the prize this week for the most gain... 120.2 - that's up 3.8 pounds! My dad is still here, and everybody was asking this morning how my weigh-in went. When he heard that I was up that much, he commented, "Boy, you sure do gain easy!" I always think the scale moves back up too easily, so to hear him…

I was having a hard time with a second physical attribute, and this morning my husband told me that he has been noticing definition in my triceps lately when I'm just doing regular things around the house! This was nice to hear because I always hate my upper arms; they always seem too big even when I lose weight...also…

Yeah, I'm a little worried about needing Sheri's push in the future! After the last challenge ended, I lost a few more pounds and then I started gaining it back. That's why at the beginning of this, I said my goal is to come up with a workable plan for maintenance. It has helped me to realize that fitness/weight loss is…

Well, I think I *may* escape without catching a cold...but I have NOT managed a workout since my dad has been in town. (Why is this so hard this time? During the other challenges that I did, I didn't let anything stop me...now, I'm being such a wimp!) My stepmom has agreed to take a walk with me tomorrow, but it's COOOOOLD…

Thanks, Ali...I *did* feel better yesterday...I took lots of oil of oregano to try to ward off any sickness, and I woke up with a little headache but not feeling so bad. But I was really busy getting ready for family to come into town, so I don't have anything to report for yesterday... I am very thankful for a lighter…

Not much to report for Monday...my oldest son has a cold and I'm not feeling too good - I'd BETTER not be getting it!!! Reps: 100 Stretch: 8 minutes ...and my company is coming in tomorrow...
-
Wow, Ali...good job on your Sunday! I sure didn't feel like I "rock[ed]" when I wrote my positive! I don't feel good about my stomach AT ALL...I am trying to find a way to make peace with it, so to speak! So, like I said, I wanted to 'claim' it as a positive simply because it's *mine* ...it's what I have to work with, and…

OK, for a positive physical attribute, I'm going out on a limb and naming my stomach. My tummy is my LEAST perfect feature (by far,) after four babies, a tubal reversal, and hernia surgery. So, I have decided to claim it as a positive, just because I care enough about it to take care of it and work on it...

Sunday: workout: 95 minutes (30 min. FitnessBlender; 65 min. yoga) calories: 429 reps: 100 stretch: 8 minutes Oh, and I posted one of my positives and entered my stuff on the chart!
-
Yeah, four in the top ten again...we are really something else! I seem to be on a mission this weekend to see just how many calories I can consume; I don't know what my problem is! Actually, I have a theory that maybe I just *need* to eat more for...ummmm...recovery or something. I'm just hoping a little breather won't…

Is that '120 minute minimum' for all week? (We'll feel like we're on vacation!) And no 'good habit/bad habit' points either? As for Thanksgiving cooking, in all honesty, I'm not going with any healthier alternatives...my plan is to do what I did last year, though - eat whatever I want, but strictly limit my portion sizes.…
-
Well, we sure covered quite a bit of miles this week! We are the BEST!!!
-
Well, big surprise - I can't eat BAD two days in a row and expect great things on the scale! Soooo, I'm going with the .6-down, which puts me at 116.4. - because I'm down at least a little... - because I could have done better; shame on me!
-
Awww, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...
-
"Abs are made in the kitchen." (This is my *encouragement* to ME after that crazy-calorie-day yesterday!) Oh, and I was down .6 of a silly pound this morning, but I'm going to see what the scale says tomorrow (if I can be GOOD today!) I've updated the chart... GOOD JOB to those of you already posting great losses this…

Bacon? Thanks...I'd love some! Thursday: workout miles: 4 (40 min yoga) actual miles: 2 (40 min walk with my 12-yr-old) stretch: 10 min core reps: 125 sit-ups: 40 (not at one time! 2x20! - yes, Melissa, these are horrid!) fr/veg: NO...only two...I'm having a starchy carb (& tequila) kinda day! OK? Yeah...I'm thinking…
-
Sooooo... Is it unethical to weigh tomorrow morning AND Saturday morning and turn in whichever number I want to? The further I get into today, the more I seem to be carb-loading...so tomorrow AM might be ugly! Some days, I just want STARCHY STUFF!!! Mmmmmm....
-
Pertaining to exercise... "There will be a day when I can no longer do this; TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!" Let's give it all we got before the weigh-in! (Can you tell that the weigh-ins always make me nervous and anxious?! I'm forever the one saying, "Oh my word, the weigh-in is here again!!!)
-
Wednesday: workout miles: 12 (120 minutes of mowing, bagging, etc. - this was 2-60 min sessions!) Sorry to be mowing for exercise again, but Honey is doing other things, so it really helps him out; plus, it *is* a nice change from my usual dvds. calories: 584 core reps: 50 sit-ups: 20 fr/veg: 3 (I actually had…

And rewarded yourself with vodka and watermelon...AWESOME!!! I literally laughed out loud when I read that! Congrats on your running success!

Can't catch the SHARKS!!! But have fun trying!
-
Ewwww! My husband loves collards too; he's still bringing them in from the garden...and they stink up the whole house when I cook them! When I was really young, my dad force-fed me some turnip greens (which made me sick,) so I don't eat ANY cooked greens! With all that said, good job, cause I know they're super-good for…

My husband would like the 'black-and-white' logic of this quote: "It's actually pretty simple - either you DO IT, or you don't!" Guess that about sums it up! So, LET'S DO IT!!!
