green tea pills?! I must get some of these wonderous things

Ooh, hang on. I was eating KFC three times a week and downing 2x 600ml cokes a day at 20, and was very small. Your metabolism at that age is a mighty mighty beast. That info is only valid really for those in that tiny age bracket.

For me the issue is just that the drinks I like (ciders, alcoholic ginger beer) are just as fatty as their non-alcoholic versions, i.e. very. Even straight apple juice has nearly as many calories as apple cider. But disregarding all THAT, the real danger in drinking for me is the urge to celebration-eat, and the comfort…

Oh HAAAI Perth represent! Though I was born in Adelaide :) By all means add me!

as silly as this post is, it's also quite hugely true.

howdy :) I have an anxiety disorder, so I've tried a whooole lot of stuff in regards to controlling stress. The big ones that really help are: 1. Cut back on caffeine! An overstimulated brain hits the stress point far sooner. 2. Yoga. Restorative yoga, if you can find it. Most standard (vinyasa) yoga will wind down with a…

Parsley. For serious. I can eat handfuls and handfuls without coming up for air.

Is driving a sports game? I enjoyed the crap out of Blur.

Yes, but... for many women periods are massively debilitating. I come from a long line of irregular, messy, LONG period-having women and absolutely suffered through high school until I was old enough to go on the Pill. I'd have to skip two days of school a month, at least, and often had to have iron infusions during…

I have one day of PMS. ONE DAY. In that one day, I will walk into things, have horrendous indigestion and more notably - SOMETHING will make me cry. And I'm not a crier. I've taken to warning the boyfriend thusly: ME: I'm hormonal tomorrow. So you know. HIM: Oh. I'll go take the rubbish out now, then.

My TOM tends to just make me bloated and uncomfortable (bless you, Pill) so yeah, I'll exercise through. But if I'm honest with myself it's usually so I can still eat my comfort food and not blow my calorie limit :drinker:

SAME. I have no idea how anything works anymore. Though I am still in Pandaria, but I'm being a dweeb and pet battling :) Also playing Torchlight 2. And if I'm being completely honest, a hell of a lot of solitaire on my phone.

Maybe some yoga? It's not intensive, it's still weight training (usually) and most types have a winddown meditation session at the end which will do wonders for the antidepressant factor (does for me, anyhow...)

Backing Hunchback of Notre Dame. I could write a thesis on that movie, there is SO much going on there. Nothing like a genocidal lust-mad old guy in a disney movie. Also the music was phenomenal.

Oh dude, I still have moments where I fire up Total Annihilation.

Holy condescension, Batman! If you'd actually like an honest to god list, here you go: I love WoW, the early Warcrafts, all the Diablos, all Elder Scrolls, the Fallouts, Brink, Rage, Rogue Warriors, All the Mass Effects, All the Dragonages, all the Knights of the Old Republics. Because heaven forbid I leave something out…

I just downloaded Torchlight 2. It is WONDERFUL. in other news, I love each and every thing that Bioware, Blizzard and Bethesda have ever done ever.

Oh god, Gears is amazing. I love the Boom-Box boob plates. I laughed until I cried the first time I heard the phrase "big *kitten* dinner". I'm actually really terrible at the game but I still enjoy it, and that's what counts, right? Right?

The IIFYM site just told me I had 98.12% body fat -_- Wouldn't I be dead?

*Hands up* Also onboard the psoriatic arthritis train. Got diagnosed at 14, so pretty much half my life now. From 14 to 21 I was epically miserable, did all my school exams on a computer (everyone else was handwriting), was nervy about being touched because of how terrible my scaly reptile-skin was, hurt too much to do any…

ROLLERDERBY FTW. this is so awesome. And may I say you don't look particularly overweight, either..? I'd imagine a decent chunk of your current "excess" is probably muscle.

bless you.

this thread makes me want to tear my hair out with disbelief. Though I AM australian, and we don't seem to be exposed to quite the same extent of fearmongering that the US is. if you didn't immunize your children, you don't get into daycares and other mothers will want to keep their children away from yours. That's how it…

GASOLINE. Everyone loves gasoline. Sharpies/permanent markers Thunderstorm (rain + electricity+ metallicish) Wet bitumen Fresh towels cut parsley cut grass old books (I am a librarian, it's an occupational requirement)

I am incapable of staying silent through Immigrant Song. aaaaw yeah.

turkey's not hugely eaten in australia (except at christmas)! But we are HUGE lamb eaters so it evens out. I live on chicken and fish and occasional bacon. My doctors suggested I try and up my red meat intake (iron deficient, like everyone ever) but I just can't. Someone puts a steak in front of me and I gag.

throwing my two cents in and adding that it's impossible to have sufficient calcium levels if your VitD is too low. One regulates the other. Which sucks, because calcium is the ONE THING I shouldn't be deficient in, and because of my mighty low VitD I am. Believe I'm taking 2000 iU a day. My doc is taking the ultra…
