  • I do not get the sexist comment at all, nor can I see why anyone is offended. Advice is advice and if someone has some valuable information how does the gender of that person factor in to it? I certainly saw myself in that post and had to take a minute and realize that I may be going about this whole process the wrong way,…
  • I have not tried this one but I do make a very similar one but with Almond milk. My kids love these! 1cup whole wheat flour 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 egg 3tsp baking powder 3tbs mashed very ripe banana blueberries optional a dash of cinnamon and a packet of splenda.
  • I love On Demand! This is how I found that I really like The 30 Day Shred, Shred it w/Weights and The Biggest Loser workouts. Great way to try some out before you buy the dvd and it also adds variety without having a whole stack of dvds.
  • Please do not get discouraged and keep in mind there are so many variables at work here. First is what level you are working at, for me Lv1 completely kicked my butt. I found Lv2 to be more rewarding, with Lv3 still being very difficult as the plyometrics completely put me at beginner level. I would say Im pretty average,…
  • If Im reading it right this is just for the spaghetti and meatballs, right?
  • Gotta agree, the leanest my tummy has been is when Im diligently watching my carbs. In particular my bread, potatoes, rice etc. seem to really add to that part of my body.
  • Im in the same boat so Im hoping there are some good suggestions. I have noticed that since I backed off of Level 3 of the Shred my knees are much better.

  • I love mine with onions/peppers and topped with a little cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes and taco sauce! If I have enough calories to spare a little light sourcream.
  • I read that article as well, here it is for those that have not read it. http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/magazine-archive/2010/july/food/protein-drinks/whats-in-your-protein-drink/index.htm
  • Thanks all...its just a pretty big investment so I want to make sure I can complete it. My hope is it will prepare me for P90x!
  • Welcome....and Roll Tide! Lots of support and advice here, I love this site.
  • I love Arby's Market Fresh salads. They are giant and the one with turkey/ham is only 250 calories. I get the buttermilk ranch dressing and only use half the pack so that adds another 100 calories, but 350 calories total completely works with my calorie goal for lunch.
  • Welcome, great site lots of support, recipes etc. Always great to have another GRIT on board! West Central Ga for me.

  • Im really curious to see what the replies are, since Im in the same boat. Im 5'2", 126lbs and only looking to drop off 6additional pounds. I do the 30Day Shred 6 days a week and have since the last week in December. On my day off from the Shred, I get in a 2 mile walk/run and do an ab video or a cardio workout. I thought I…
  • I log mine as 20 minutes of circuit training.
  • Hummelkm is right and I know that sucks! I have 3 small children and work a fulltime job from 8-5:30, come home make dinner, clean the house, help with homework, baths etc....so I can feel your pain. However I have come to the realization that Im about to turn 43 and Im not going to live forever, so if I want things to…
  • Keep us all posted there are lots of folks on here doing the 30DS. I hope to have Ripped this weekend.
  • Welcome, we can never have too many GRITS! I'm just south of you in Columbus....great site, lots of support.
  • I know what you mean about needing something that is not sweet for breakfast. I have 2 eggs most days of the week and occasionally add either some bacon bits or some lean ham in for a little more flavor. The 2 eggs only set me back 140 calories and still under 200 if I sprinkle some Real Bacon bacon bits or ham. Mexican…
  • Thanks so much for all your comments this whole work/ life balancing act is a challenge. Maybe at some point if I can work an alternate schedule P90x will be a better fit, but I think for now I may need to try another plan. Thanks again.
  • I have taken it a few times and after the first few days of being a little jittery, it worked like a dream! Here is the thing, if you do not change your lifestyle yes all the weight will come right back, but quite frankly that is the case with anything you do. I needed a kick in the pants to get me going and it did that.…
  • I think walking on the street, mall, whatever should be like a lane on the highway....slow traffic move to the right lane! If you want to window shop etc. please realize the rest of the world has somewhere to be. The grocery store kills me, do not stop in the middle of the aisle please! If you want to liesurely stroll…
  • Wow! Thanks for this post, this is continued motivation for me with the Shred! I'm about half way through L3 and hate every minute of it right now. L1 and 2 I still enjoy so I'm working a day of those in between my 10 days of L3.
  • Love it! Glad you posted this explanation, I always cringe a little when someone asks this question and there are tons of responses to eat all the calories. This simply does not work for everyone. Thanks.
  • I'm eager to hear the responses on this one. I have survived 4 days of L3 now but have only take 3 days off from Jillian since right before Christmas when I started. There is nothing on the box that indicates you should take a day off, hence the 30 Day Shred, but I have also always heard to never work the same muscle group…
  • The 30 Day Shred is the fire! I can get it done before my kids and husband get up and still have time to get ready for work and get the kids off to school.
  • Ive survived and made to L3 and most everything I use only the 3lbs for. The back exercises and squats I can go up to 5 now, but Ive been doing this since the week before Christmas. I only used cans of soup the first few days of L1 and it completely kicked my butt! So far Im not digging L3 at all, so Im mixing in the other…
  • Im in the same boat, Im about 4 days into L3, but I'm trying to figure out what to do after the 10 days. I have found myself moving back to L1 and L2 lately since I have no love for L3, so Im having to force myself to do that one every other day or so. I will tell you that when I do the L1 and 2 now Im increasing my…
  • Welcome....West Central Ga here! Great site, tons of tools and lots of support!
  • Try runnersworld.com, there you will we able to determine your arch. Once you have that bit of info, you will know better what is the best shoe for you. I use that info and order shoes at Lady Foot Locker as they allow you to sort by arch and price. I see tons of good reviews on Brooks and Asics.
