I run 3x a week and I notice that when I have had an injury and not been able to run I weigh less. I initially started running to lose weight but personally it is only for general health now, my weight loss is tied far more to what I'm shoving in my mouth.

Jman, I believe another member suggested this as well, FB may be a good place for support. The easy answer is always "calories in, calories out" here, but if you have done your homework on IF you know it is bigger than that. Sadly there is no 1 size fits all approach to weight/fat loss, so we all have to find what works…

I do 16:8, 18:6 and an occasional OMAD depending how hungry I feel. Both the 8 hour and 6 hour eating window leaves me enough time for 2 meals. I have eliminated all snacking though, so as to have fewer insulin spikes. I also adopted a ketogenic diet before starting IF, which for me was huge. I'm not sure that I could have…

If you feel leaner than that is all that matters, rock on. I have been IF for several months now and keto for a year and a half prior. I may be in the minority here but I do think there is an adjustment period. I skip breakfast to allow for an overnight fast of 16-18 hours and initially it was tough some days, now it is…

Thanks for the input, I will give myself a reset this week on maintenance, then give this a whirl again. I will take measurements next time, maybe there was some movement there.

Help...I'm just not sure what I'm doing wrong but I have lost 0 after 3 days of fat fasting. My fats are staying around 83%, 5% or less in carbs and 11% protein with caloric intake of 1200. I had a few thoughts on this, first would it make a difference if I was at 90% fat? Also, do I need to drop my calories down?…

Kirkor, not sure what my deficit has been. In general I try to stay around 1200 calories. I'm 5'2", small frame and nearly 50 so losing and keeping it off is a huge challenge over that caloric intake.

Thanks, I was hoping to do 3-5 days.

Ah, need to check the mileage on my shoes. I was fitted for running shoes back in the summer. Also, just thinking back to when this started that I had switched shoes a few times. The other pair is much newer and also a running shoe but has a whole lot less cushion than my Triumphs do. So glad you mention this.

I know you are right, just really do not want to go. My half is in just over a week so I need to do something fast or I will be sitting it out.

I have been running farther than normal in preparation for the 1/2. I will bump up my water and see if that helps. thanks.

Thanks for all the great ideas.

I went to pt for several months, now to stay pain free I use a foam roller and go to yoga or Pilates every week. Seriously yoga has kept me pain free and out of the chiropractor's office for almost a year now.

I'm in love with McDonald's southwest salad with grilled chicken. It's 350 calories and it is so flavorful I do not add any dressing. I just squeeze a little of the lime wedge on it and I'm set. If I just want something sweet the fruit/yogurt parfait is really good and only 150!

I completely feel your pain on this one! I'm wrapping up week 3 this week and so far ZERO pounds lost. I started several months ago scaling back on calories and trying to be better about portion control while doing the videos, when that did not help, I began using the containers and the dvds. I have also been running so…

I have no advice, but I will be interest in seeing what others say since I'm in the same boat. I'm 3 weeks in and no loss. Im doing the 21 Day Fix.

I really enjoy a balance of both cardio and the weights. I have had some back/hip issues but so far the only time I feel it is with mountain climbers, burpees or a lot of jumping. I have taken an occasional Body Pump class at the gym and we do a fair number of weighted squats and lunges and so far no issues.

I started last Spring and while I still cannot run a whole 5k, I will get there. There are a few things that I learned, first of all form is huge, second make sure you have good shoes. Go to a shoe store that specializes in running shoes that can analyze your gait. Finally for some of us the 5 minute warm up walk is not…

My husband and I are in week 9 and I can tell you I have been really diligent about the exercise. If I have to miss a workout I always make up for it on my stretch day, so I feel like I have really given it my all. Much like you I only have 10lbs I would like to drop. Now to date I have not lost a pound but I say that not…

My husband and I are both day 3 week 4 Phase I of P90x and so far I love it. I was really intimidated and had no intention of even trying it, but once my husband started I couldn't be left behind. We are already planning ahead to trying Insanity after we do P90x, as it seems more intense on the endurance and cardio. When I…

When I started c25k I had the same experience, the only thing I have to add is that I do not think weight has a whole lot to do with it. I had a few vanity pounds to lose at best and I had shin splints every single time for what seemed like forever. I changed out my shoes (great info on runnersworld.com) and really…

I'm looking to start for the first time, but I have been unsure of what weights I would need as well. I only have 3,5 and 8#s and no resistance bands.

First off as a parent I think anything we can do to keep our little people active is a great thing. I have three small children and they have a real need to run, jump and play. I wish you the best of luck in getting this started in your home town. I lived in Germany in the late 80's for several years and while I agree with…

It is my understanding that the difference is more vitamins and fiber in the whole wheat versions. Fiber is great for you for many reasons but the top one for me is it makes you feel fuller longer. Im sure someone with a greater insight will chime in and give you some additional information.

Anything fried or baked goods (cake, bread, cookies), but besides those no temptations at all for me!~

I've wondered about this myself, can't wait to see the responses.

Right before I hit L3 my knees really started to bother me, one side in particular. I began alternating between L3 and Last Chance Workout, Shred it w/Weights and L1 and 2 workouts so that I was only doing it every 3rd day and that seems to have helped. So I guess technically I did not stay on course and finish a full 10…

That is amazing and motivational. I hurt my back a few years ago 3 weeks into a c25k program and it has never been quite the same since. I've been doing the 30Day Shred for 60+ days now and other than getting a little stiffness have been pain free. I would love to transition to P90x but have been really reluctant to chance…

I do it that way carbs-fiber=net carbs for the day.
