There is stuff on spearmint tea too.

I don't think you'd lose very much living on MREs. :D

Interesting but not what I personally thought "fat but fit" meant. I'd love to see it redone with physical activity paid attention to. If, for example, someone can run a mile with an age-graded score above 50% (and not end up in the hospital), does their BMI still significantly matter?

I still use dressing but I put salad and half a serving of dressing in a large container and shake thoroughly. The dressing ends up coating all of it in a very thin layer. I get the flavor but I only use half as much.

I nursed mine until 3 and 2. The older one just barely accepted weaning (he personally counted down the days) and I weaned the younger one on his second birthday, which was a piece of cake by comparison. The older one is more difficult in everything but especially when it came to sleeping. I resented still waking up to…

I actually modified a cookie recipe to only make like 8 cookies, instead of 2-3 dozen. There are even "single serve" recipes out there. This one makes two cookies: http://www.number-2-pencil.com/2012/09/30/perfect-single-serving-size-chocolate/

I'm on 150 mg and just reached my goal weight, literally today. If it isn't helping at all, I would guess that you need a different medication. I didn't feel great at the initial dosage but noticeably better.

When did people get indoor plumbing?

I also really, really wouldn't recommend 1200 calories to anyone who plans on exercising 6 days a week.
-
That would be over 50% of your calories from protein. I'm not even sure that is possible, unless you ate nothing but shellfish and very very lean meat.
-
Lifting can help preserve the muscle you do have. Pure calorie restriction reduces fat and muscle, incorporating exercise shifts the ratio so more fat is lost compared to muscle lost.
-
Nope. Back to working in extreme slow motion.

Well, it is a pretty miserable way of committing suicide. His heart will probably give out before he gets his dream body. Lack of electrolytes, his body cannibalizing muscles and organs to continue to make proteins (the building blocks of everything), ect.

I managed to force it back to version 3.07 (which I believe is what it shipped with) and it started working just fine again. Now I'm reinstalling the new version, hoping that isn't a mistake. So far, so good.

Okay. Today it was like it was severe slow motion. Not frozen completely but only responding very sluggishly to button press, not touch. Restarting it seems to have helped (edit: it didn't really help) but I can't go debugging it every single day.

It was just showing me the time. I wasn't doing much of anything special.
-
It isn't brand new, I've had it since February. Monday was the first time it ever froze on me.

1. See your doctor 2. You don't specify but with your exercise, I don't think 1200 total calories is enough. Net, maybe. Using a quick TDEE calculator, (25 y/o female, 5'0", 120 lbs, "moderate exercise") 1600 calories would be a small deficit. 3. See your doctor.
-
(Cross posted) If you are between 5'0" and 5'7", 120 is in the healthy BMI range. If there was any fat to lose, your setting should be at 1/2 lb per week, no more. If you are 5'4" or taller, I wouldn't advise cutting calories at all. You could build muscle and maintain your weight, which would decrease fat over time.

In my personal experience, higher calorie days make me want to move more. Staying in a deficit for a long time (close to goal weight) puts me in a foul mood and all I want to do is lay around. So I am burning more when I consume more. In a literal sense, my metabolism (sum of all anabolic and catabolic reactions) is…

I had mussels and creamed spinach. Mussels are surprisingly very high in protein (listed as 27 grams per serving) and don't taste too bad. I buy them precooked. 245 calorie dinner with 30 grams of protein.
-
I'm sorry if I've missed it before. Can you have cooked cabbage or kale? There are a lot of non-starchy vegetables that don't have to be eaten raw. I've been recently eating precooked mussels. They have been like $3.00-3.50 a pound (two servings) but they are almost purely protein. The ones I had today was listed as 27…

Are you breaking things on accident, like The Hulk? If not, you're good. :D

Some people have higher intake days on purpose, as part of their weight loss strategy. Premium even has settings for different goals on different days. Just keep going, 500 over one day is just a little bump in the road. It is nothing that needs to stop you.

I've told my older son that I weigh myself and my food to be at a healthy weight. Maybe it could be linked to Goldilocks? Sometimes people get too big, sometimes people get too small. You count up how much you eat because you want to be 'just right'.

I'm not sure I'd trust the meat to have the same nutritional quality as naturally occurring meat. No liver, no glands, is the meat going to be the same without input from the rest of the body? I'd like to first go after invasive species. If something needs to be hunted to local extinction, the human appetite is a great…

My guess would be that you aren't logging everything or logging by volume. If you were really eating 900 calories every day for a month, you would have lost something. Are you using a food scale and weighing everything? ETA: I just learned the other day that packaged food must contain 99% of the quantity listed on the…
-
It could also be logging errors. Food packages (here in the US at least) often have a volume measurement for solids, with grams afterward. If you measure out that volume, it is almost never the 'correct' weight. The weight will give you a more accurate diary entry than volume or count.

The saddest part is that denying the truth doesn't make it not true. :(

That isn't too bad. Maybe this would help? http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10359984/women-menstrual-cycle-weight-and-fitness-matters
