Carpentry can cause cancer. Hot beverages can cause cancer. Red meat can cause cancer. Don't roll down your windows because exhaust and general air pollution can cause cancer. Alcohol can cause cancer. The bacteria that causes most ulcers causes cancer. Birth control can cause cancer. Sunlight causes cancer. Cooking your…

If you can see it on a beach, I would say it isn't "nude" but definitely a provocative photo.

I was hoping to fit into my old shorts, I couldn't squeeze in comfortably last summer. Now they're too big! :o

Nice but I'd still argue some luck is involved. My worst pregnancy stretch marks were actually on my butt (the first to show up) and my boobs (didn't appear until my milk came in). I was 21 when he was born so I definitely had 'young' skin. When I was a teenager, I got stretch marks because I was lifting heavy; water and…

Maybe. In order to get sufficient vitamins and minerals, you're going to have to dip into "clean eating" a little bit (whole grains, sufficient fruit and vegetables) but being extremist about it is just going to complicate things. Heck, sometimes processed stuff is better than fresh. Frozen and canned fruit/vegetables…

I don't understand why people do this. They're going to wait a minute at the absolute minimum for you to finish and leave, why can't they just park a little bit further back? Parking 5 or 6 spaces down is probably quicker than waiting for someone. The only reason I'd wait for a spot would be if it was really busy and it…

The shoppers don't bother me. Spending half of my time in the store waiting in line and having a cashier swear at me drove me away. I won't shop there unless I have absolutely no other choice.

Maybe the best piece of advice MFP can give is "don't eat your feelings". :/ It isn't your failing when another adult chooses to act selfishly.

Weight loss isn't that direct. Many variables can affect your weight beyond fat loss.

I do better with less dairy. I couldn't generalize to everyone with PCOS but you could try to limit it and see if anything changes. I would focus more on low Glycemic Index foods to keep your blood sugar and insulin levels stable. I know some sources recommend that, although I never really got around to reading about it.

Crystal Light, Green Tea. Coffee occasionally but I don't like it black and don't crave it enough to use calories on coffee creamer.

The only way to normalize it is to just keep doing it.

My brother used to get a bad rash every time he ate chocolate, that doesn't mean chocolate is "terrible for you". If they make you feel bad, avoid them. Otherwise, it isn't a worry.

You are 3 weeks postpartum. That 'extra' weight isn't all fat. Your body takes more than a few days to reduce your blood volume back to non-pregnant levels and you still have increased uterine mass (and I would assume some additional glandular tissue in your breasts). Chill and take care of your baby. You might be…

1. Your doctor is a *kitten* *kitten*. 2. Some fertility issues (like PCOS) can be exacerbated by being overweight. It doesn't mean you can never get pregnant. Your weight might not even be the primary factor but the act of losing it would sensitize your cells to insulin and that would move things in the right direction.…

"Your waist size is a clue to whether you're at high risk for type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease." "For your best health, your waist should measure no more than 40 inches for men, 35 inches for women. If it's larger than that, you may want to talk with your doctor about what your next…

Well, you could. But diet with exercise will cause you to lose primarily from fat. Cutting calories without exercise will result in some muscle loss along with the fat.

"Skinny-fat." I wouldn't lose weight where you're at but eat at maintenance or a hair above while challenging your muscles.

Grilled Ranch Snack Wrap from McDonalds. Even if I have two, they are enough to be filling without overwhelming me with calories.

And, until they figure out exactly which lock (country, state, city, neighborhood, street, house) it opens, it will be precisely worthless.

How long does it take to see progress as a "beginner"? I planned to lose 15 and I'm down 10. I never took a 'before' picture but I might do one now. I can't wait to get rid of my squishy belly pillow.

I'm reading "Body By You", which is a bodyweight program geared toward women. It is stuff you can do around the house without buying really anything. I borrowed it from the library to see if I like it enough to buy it, lol.

11 lbs is not enough, even if you start overweight. A woman starting at a healthy weight should gain 25-35 lbs. Of 35 lbs, only about 9 is fat. The remaining 26 lbs is split between the baby/placenta and increased blood supply, uterine mass, ect. http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/healthy-weight-gain#1

The first time I gained 40-45 lbs. I think it was ~35 lbs the second time. Both times all of it came back off on its own by 9 months, I didn't make any attempt to 'try' to lose weight.

Our grocery store has two different sized carts and put up signs so larger and smaller carts get separated. People don't bother. It is the difference of a foot to the right or left, is it really that hard?

We didn't, but everything we've accomplished was done together. If my husband were to pass away and I remarried before our children were independent, I would get a prenup to protect the wealth their father worked to provide for them.

I think they assume that at least some of the women are eating a little too much to begin with.

Reverse osmosis is actually pretty terrible, if that is your main source of fluids. As I understand it, it not only removes "bad" things but essential minerals as well. The fluid would cause cells to swell via osmosis but the body releases some minerals from 'storage' (bones, teeth) for balance. When that water is needed…
