  • I am sort of in the same place; once I've stopped counting cals for awhile it takes me a few weeks or so to get back in the swing of things and get back my motivation. Last week I limited my cals to approx 1500-1600 per day (first week back) and over the weekend, lost all motivation and now I'm back at it again - going to…
  • I would eat hard boiled eggs and low cal broth veggie soup all day and drink coffee and then enjoy whatever I wanted at the game. I did this last week; and ended up sharing the burger and fries with a friend (huge portions) and had 2 glasses of wine and had a great time.
  • I bf for 2 years, but did not try to lose any weight until about 7 months and then did WW and it came off 1-2 lbs per week. 1200 cals is so low - I don't know how you are doing it without eating a hand! I'd probably just increase cals to about 1800 and then try again in a few months or so. And just keep wearing the…
  • I'm in - recently gained 10 + lbs (refuse to weigh myself right now but will after a couple weeks of "good" eating).
  • You could be my twin then! F-40, CW -143.5, 5'6 Hoping to get down to 135 (and then start working out more, etc but 135 is my "happier" weight)
  • I think that when I was BF a 7 month old exclusively, that I read it was about 500 cals per day.
  • Just started this plan this week. Two DD down; despite trying, I've averages about 650 cals on both DDs, and it was hard. And now the headaches. Wondering if it's b/c I don't do well on any low carb diet, and by nature the DD are very low carb, (just so I can stay full). Anyway, the mere 3 days on this diet have been good…
  • I have just started this week. On my second DD. But on my up day, I know I went way over my "allotted" calories (supposed to have a bit less than 1700, so I rounded up! But I stopped counting in the evening). We'll see how I do after today's DD. I was realy happy even with the water loss after the first DD, because I was…
  • For me, I just eat (and eat) air popped pop corn with spray butter. Very few cals!
  • I did WW before, and they have a "free" point soup, that is very low in calories. I ate it - a lot - and it really helped control my appetite. So yes, I think that eating a lot of soup is very helpful in losing weight. I still do it now - my easy recipe - 1 box of chicken broth, add some taco seasoning or 1 jar of salsa,…

  • Actually, only advice I have - just don't wear a bikini! Ha ha!!!
  • Good luck. I"m 5'6 and 140 and have a goal to get down to 130 and it seems impossible sometimes. With only 10 lbs to do, you almost have to eat perfectly all the time to lose anything. And post-babies I carry the entire extra 10lbs on my belly too. Sorry no good advice, struggling here too!
  • With a meal, I often eat 5-6 servings of very low cal veggies (cauliflower, or green beans, etc) just steamed and then with mrs. dash. I like those steam bags from the freezer section. I also drink 2 glasses of water. Then after I eat that, I eat my "meal". This gets rid of the hunger.
  • Best of luck to you, Perhaps if you scale down the effort, to one day at a time, one change at a time, it will seem more managable. I bought my kiddos (same age), plates that show the correct types / amounts of food to eat (helps them learn healthy eating); 1/2 the plate is to be full of fruits/veggies, one quarter a…
  • I like the frozen breakfast burritos (about 250-260 cals each, varies by brand). Have one plus a cut up fruit or veggie and I'm good. Or have two, and that's still only 500 cals or so.
  • Hi there. I dieted and lost those 20 lbs while BF. But IMO, 1 month out is way to early and would just focus on eating healthy, (I gorged on sugar to keep me awake!). I eventually did (at about 6 months or so post baby) WW. They gave a ton of extra points while BF and with the points plus, I was eating extra fruits/veggies…
  • Low carb tortillas, 81 cals each
  • Am nursing a 3 year old here. Lost the baby weight via weight watchers when he was 7 months old or so. Much easier to lose weight with all of those extra points. Feel free to add me.
  • Sorry I don't have any real info for you. I am 5'6 and want to lose 10 lbs and it also puts me at 1200. I haven't changed it but I rarely (ok never) meet it. Generally, I hit about 1500-1600.
  • I make sure that I have enough room in my calories for wine with dinner every night!!
  • Me too. Mom of 2, need to lose the belly fat, and 5-10 lbs.
  • I just started ripped in 30 today.
  • I just stared Ripped in 30 today and plan on doing it 5 days per week. Count me in too!! I need the motivation! You may want to start a group.
  • I am still in my 30s - mom to two boys, 2 and 5. You all can feel free to add me. Looking to lose the post-baby stomach pooch. Yuck.

  • I would eat something very low calorie (that would be considered ww if I was on that). I like to make soup with a box of chicken broth, add a bag of frozen green beans and a half jar of salsa. Each bowl is very filling, and in total, less than 40 cal each. Egg whites are also very low cal and filling.

  • Seems like common sense to me! And has been true in my life--eating "clean" and "healthy" for me is a way to feel full, and therefore eat less calories, so I lose weight. But it also has other benefits (feeling healthier, etc than eating 1300 calories worth of cheetos or something!)
  • When I am trying to "diet" or "be healthy" I eat a lot more fresh fruits and veggies (b/c they are filling) and generally higher fiber food and less processed food. But I am a child of America and like my processed food, so I just typically watch the portions at meals and then eat fruit/veggies to fill me up.
  • I make a "healthy" sausage mcmuffin, with a toasted whole grain english muffin, jimmy dean turkey sausage and 1/4 shredded cheese (plus ketchup-b/c I like it!). You could substitute a low carb muffin or bread if you'd like.
  • I did WW online after kids and lost 20 lbs. I've gained back about 8 so am doing MFP. Thus far, it seems pretty much the same, except that I'm counting calories instead of points. And it's free, even better!
