I'm right with you on exceeding the sugars. And what a vicious cycle because it seems the more sweets I eat, the more I crave sugar! I've cut down, but still go over more than most of the time. I am trying to have hard candy (mints) on hand - it helps curb the sugar lust. And am trying to pick up a piece of fruit when I…

Well, ya'll come down and I'll pick tangerines off my tree for you. Right now I'm sure Florida sounds great to you, but those hurricanes are a b#tch! :)

I hope the both of your find this site helpful. Please go to the newby threads and read up on the helpful hints. I started a couple of months ago and wish I would have done it from the beginning. Started out a little frustrating, but back on track now. They're great people on here that will listen to whatever concerns you…

Eek - this native Floridian cannot comprehend this!

I'm really sorry - wasn't thinking about how mean this post could be - can't imagine temperatures that low. I am not even telling you the temperature here in Central Florida. That would be cruel.....

I don't tolerate multi-vitamins very well. I found a liquid vitamin that I mixed with juice. I found that taking them at night really made a difference for me. Good luck!

Pain is good though, right?

I love to geocache (lots of walking) and kayaking.

Not necessarily weight loss-related, but since eating better, my iron is up and I was able to donate blood! Very happy -

I think they radiate subliminal messages that make it too hard to resist. But think people need to splurge once in a while - deprivation really sucks.

Banana Boat: remove one 1 section of the peel; cut the banana down the middle (leaving it in the peel); add an oz or two of a good quality dark chocolate and maybe a few mini marshmallows; wrap in foil and put on coals until marshmellows/chocolate is melted! The banana will still be pretty cool with the warm toppings - it…

Great idea - we'll be walking probably close to 6-7 hours each day. This makes sense.

I don't tolerate veggie burgers too well - not sure what the deal is there. But am thinking there's nothing better than grilling chicken on a wood fire! I think I'm going to eat well this weekend!
-
You know what a banana boat is! We've always enjoyed them more than s'mores - didn't give you a sugary sick stomach (okay - maybe not as much of a sugary sick stomach!)
-
:) ooops this has turned to :( remembered we will be taking young people and we don't partake on these weekends. Planning a grown up camp out soon though!

Thank you!

Try red teas (aka rooibos or bush teas) - great variety of flavors and are naturally caffeine free. They usually are so flavorful that you don't need to add sweeteners. Good luck!

Totally agree :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE loose tea. Got hooked on it about 5 years ago when a small tea shop opened across the street from where I work. She showed me how to properly brew a cup of tea and let me sample so many different kinds (black, green, red). Once hooked - she closed the shop. But found an awesome store a few towns away…

Very proud to say I lost 1/2 lb - which shocked me because in addition to Thanksgiving, mother nature surprised me with TOM! : { Could not stop munching to save my life!

Congratulations! Wishing you continued success!

I'd like to add http://www.teaandchi.com - they have a wonderful selection

I'm a tea drinker - usually black tea with nothing in it. But I have discovered some flavored "red teas" (aka rooibos or bush tea). They are caffeine free and have a bonus of some minerals! Some you don't even need to add anything to because they have really good flavor. You should give them a try! Good luck! PS - Been…

Congratulations to the both of you. Wishing you much happiness

Having "bad" eyes all my life you've given me something to look forward to! I think alot of it has to do with blood pressure (?). And from the looks of those arms, it looks like you ski up hills :) Congrats! PS - that arm next to "107 lbs lost" is very cool
-
It sounds like he's jealous because you're moving forward and he's not. He's still trying to manipulate you. Congrats on taking steps for a healthier you and you are setting a great example for your child. Wishing you so much happiness and don't think for a moment you don't deserve that - good luck.

EXACTLY - and I really appreciate that! Geez haven't thought of that show in a very long time!
-
Understand that, but the food counter still tracks them the same, right?

   Maybe they need to exercise more for you!
