Many people on this forum believe that successfully losing weight grants them the right to be pretentious little pricks.

My weekends usually involve lots of drinking and not enough eating. Can't be too healthy, but my weight is the same on monday as it was on friday.

I'm from the north west too :D

Semi-intelligent people I used to know who have ditched their academic lives and any hope of a career to sit in their basements and preach the teachings of David Icke.

Most of the time when I'm hungry, it's just because I'm bored. Ironically, to lose weight you need to think about food 10x more than you ever did before. And when food is always on your mind, it'll be the first thing you think about when you're bored. Just keep yourself occupied, stay out and about.

Skinnyfat guy reporting in. I'm going to start P90X in ten days, I already have everything I need waiting next to my bed. What I'd suggest is trying something like insanity but make sure you don't eat at a calorie deficit. You should be able to build some muscle and tone your flabby skin.

Although it's processed meat, the 'mattessons fridge raiders' are really tasty and high in protein. A 60g pack is around 115 calories and 10g protein, much more nutritious and filling than your average 115 calories of chocolate.

Seems like a pretty sh**ty problem to have.

Heisenberg! :O

Wow that's brilliant, I love your ingenuity!

Theoretically yes you could eat one chocolate bar as 200 calories of your diet every day and still lose weight, but that isn't the problem for me. The first problem is that the 200 calories of chocolate I'd eat wouldn't fill me up at all. And since I'm on a calorie deficit, it's just like eating 200 calories less for the…

I decided to eat clean today. So I washed all three easter eggs before I ate them.

I don't have first hand experience, but a friend of mine tried intermittent fasting and lost a bit of weight. Never asked if he managed to keep it off though.

I think what she was trying to say is that 'eating out' often is part of a lifestyle that leads to weight gain and will hamper your success. Splurging on a massive steak and chips at a pub once a week is fine, but doing it 'often' will definitely be a problem, no matter what healthy options there may be. To be honest, I…

Does this mean easter eggs make you fat too?

Well I've had a terrible cold since monday and on the days I tried to exercise this week, no matter how much water I guzzled before, during and after my workouts, I felt horribly dehydrated the following day and it made my symptoms even worse. There could be no connection between the two, but I'd just take it easy for a…

The way I see it, if you don't have 1-2 hours a week to do chores then you definitely don't have enough time to work out. Cleaning your own house won't make you skinny, but it's part of a lifestyle that involves more exercise than one with a housemaid.
-
If you pay somebody to do physical chores around your home and you're overweight, I think you've found the problem.

I might have a low immune system but my entire family gets the same colds quite often because of the line of work my dad is in, he catches them quite a lot and isn't very considerate about keeping them to himself. So every time he brings a cold home, everybody gets it. Between september and december last year I think I…

I've just been watching what I eat and exercising 6 days/week on a stationary bike in front of my TV. Watched lots of Netflix in the process ;)

I guess I'm lucky in that department, every sunday my hangover is so bad that I can't keep anything down so I just don't eat at all xD
-
Haha just noticed that mistake :P

Thanks for the great feedback!

I have very limited free time at the moment because of university so I've been waiting until my year ends (which is the end of this month) so I can start P90X or something similar.

I lost a lot of weigh over the last two months with no exercise, I was recovering form surgery and couldn't put any pressure on my right foot. It's all about the calorie deficit.

I'm a massive fan, I don't think I have a favourite episode though. I've watched every episode at least once and now I'm just waiting until January 16th so I can download the latest one.
