Getting past the first couple of days. I'd literally tried about twenty times before only to fall on the third or fourth day because I just couldn't do it. Little did I know, the painful cravings would go away after a week or so.

You won't start noticing a difference after a week, wait four weeks after the first picture was taken and then take another one. You'll definitely notice a difference then if you stick to your diet.

Ben & Jerrys Phish Food, might buy me some on the weekend.

Troll or not, this thread is stupid.

Thanks everybody for the encouraging messages, I can't wait to finish my weight loss :)

Yeah I do strength train quite a lot now and have done for a few months, but I don't really put on much muscle because of my low-calorie diet. I can't really take any supplements or eat excess protein rich foods because it drives my calorie intake up and since I'm in university five days a week, I only have enough time for…

Thanks for the feedback everybody, one thing that I forgot to mention is I did it all with a stationary bike and just watching what I eat via MFP.
-
I won't be logging, but I'll still be weighing in.
-
If you keep the same calorie deficit by eating less and not doing as much exercise, you'll still lose weight. I've been recovering from a leg injury for the last ten days and I just adjusted my meals to have the same calorie deficit, still seeing the same results as when I was exercising 6 days/week.

Eggs and Cress, delicious.

Probably the worst diet I've ever seen.

+1 Lots of jealous people in this thread, presumably struggling to lose. On topic, congratulations on your loss. But the reason you should think about slowing down is loose skin, it's the reason I've tried to stay under 3lbs per week.
-
Don't worry about it, eat what your body wants. The more quickly you recover, the more quickly you can get back to burning calories exercising.

Bran Flakes.

Joss Whedon (especially buffy) fanboy reporting in.

Me: Strike up conversation about weight loss and fitness, without mentioning numbers specifically. Other Person: Yeah I lost weight once, I lost about 60 lbs in 3 weeks. Me, realising this is impossible because of what I've learned since starting to lose weight:
-
I lost 1lb which I'm really pleased with, because I've had my exams this week and instead of doing my cardio I've been studying.
-
I really doubt it. The only way to determine this is by monitoring your heart rate during the weight lifting process. For me, I burn around 100 calories in a 20 minute session from lifting weights.

I bought a stationary bike for pretty cheap on Amazon and I've found it really easy to stick to. I can use it any time I have 30 minutes free during the day and watch something on netflix at the same time.
-
I use a stationary bike and watch netflix at the same time. I don't even realise I'm doing anything, It's a great feeling!

Lost another 2lbs

No matter how many calories I burn (which is generally 500-700 per day) I never eat the calories back. And every day I stick to around 1400 calorie intake. So I'm on around 700-900 net calories per day which is producing great results.
-
You need a calorie deficit of 1,000 per day to lose 2 lbs/week. So to lose no weight at all, you'd need to intake between 1920-2040 calories per day. To lose 2 lbs/week, you'd need to intake 920-1040 net calories per day. So yes I'd suggest eating around 1200 calories and losing 200 or so through exercise.

I bought myself a birthday card. It was the only one I received.

I'm about 195 lbs 5"9 and I'm waiting until around 170 lbs before I do P90X to finish my transformation. You should build your fitness lightly with an exercise bike or a treadmill first.

I've been eating Kellogg's Bran Flakes every morning for the past nine weeks. It keeps me feeling full and is low in calories.
