Excellent results, you're on the home stretch now!

Bump up the eating, son! Honestly, I think you should aim for 1800-2000 calories per day. It's not as big a deficit as what you've had lately, but it's FAR more sustainable and you'll be less likely to fall off once you reach or get closer to your goal, and you should look to achieve more of your caloric burn from…

1000+ calories is pretty much cardio. I just did about an 85 minute strength workout but I use MFP's calculations for strength training and I only got like an extra 350 calories for that, lol. If I do 85 minutes on the elliptical, I'm usually at a machine readout of 1200+ and I knock 20% off of cardio machines for logging…

^ I think that pretty well sums it up. I've always worked out through sickness, although when I was highly symptomatic of my Ulcerative Colitis flare-up, I was unable to really muster the energy. Since starting to really keep on top of fitness, however, I haven't ever had a bad sickness aside from that.

This. The product you are thinking of is probably the P90X Results & Recovery formula, and while I've heard it's good stuff, it is indeed very expensive.. I let my friends buy that while I stuck to skim milk and protein powders!

It's insane how much older she looks at 47 than she does at 48 and at 50.. thanks in part to the grey present in the first picture but largely due to the body changes. Yeah, good new inspiration here!

That weight loss did a world of difference - you look much better and actually a good deal younger because of it also!

Ladies with strong and/or defined legs.. yum! lol And 780lbs leg press.. that is strong indeed!

Wal-Mart is generally good for dumbbells up to 35lbs, I've seen 40lb dumbbells there but they seem pretty rare. However, if you can buy them used, do so, because you'll save a lot of money on something that usually the worst effect of being in a used condition is generally chipped paint or cracked rubber.

Calories out must be greater than calories in. A good clean diet (a snack here and there is fine but it can be helpful to count calories) and a boost in activity are pretty much the biggest catalysts for weight loss, which cannot be targeted, but will include the abdominal area, among everything else.

Do your best.. and forget the rest! You'll hear that many times. Oh, and make sure you eat well! I made the mistake of terrible eating (I was on like an 8+ hour fast) on my first day ever of it, and I paid the price in nearly passing out halfway through. And when your body is so sore you feel like calling it quits.. keep…

Kegel muscle workout perhaps? I'd die if I saw that in person. Hell, I about died watching the video!

It couldn't hurt to try something new, especially if it's free, but it does sound like you have a pretty good gym already. I've been to two Anytime Fitness locations myself - one was small, had a decent setup but not a whole lot of equipment, and for being Thanksgiving morning, was quite crowded. The other one was much…

The ones that come to mind for me: Upper Body - shoulder presses, bench presses, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks, dumbbell rows (upright or bentover) Lower Body - lunges or squats while holding a pair of dumbbells Here's a directory where you can find out quite a bit more: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html

I have a friend who basically just jumped into TurboFire (she also has done Shakeology), she was pretty out of shape and probably about 60-70lbs overweight, but she has stuck to it and lost 23lbs in her first month, and is past 30lbs lost now. Definitely not out of the question!

Nice job, you've definitely done well for yourself!

No crushes per say but I would say there are certainly people on here that I would gladly give a chance if circumstances were more favorable, haha.

I would be put off a bit by someone who got themselves into a bankruptcy due to absolutely excessive and poor spending habits, or by someone who flat out refused to work without a decent reason, but other than that, I couldn't care less if a girl I was dating made minimum wage or $30/hr. I have good credit but a very…

I did heavy load workouts for a period of 68 out of 72 days on end recently. I took a ten day period where I lightened the weights and only worked out six of the days. Hit the hard stuff again tonight and I feel a TON better!

Representing the age 28 bracket! Hahah

Great results, you look like a happy person in both pictures but I bet you feel a whole lot better in the new!

I actually own pairs going up to 45lbs, and as far as adjustables, I've kept it pretty simple. I have the little dumbbell bars with the twist-on locks and a ton of plates to add to them - for how much weight I can put on them (I can create up to a 140lb dumbbell currently) it was cost-restrictive for me to buy adjustables,…

I've stuck primarily with the stations/machines at my gym as I rarely have the time to wait my turn in the squat rack, but I've generally done the following: Leg Press (45 degree plate loaded): lately I start at a weight I can just finish 12 reps on, then de-load for four further sets of 12. [current start point @ 4.2x…

Because of this topic and my recent driver's license renewal, I finally went ahead with mine - it's been a long time coming and is not a severely gradual nor recent transformation: Left picture - February 2006, I was around 207-208lbs May 2006 - I dropped down to around 170lbs October 2010 - by this time I was back up to…

1 - stay on the good path, get to the beach body I'm really striving for 2 - find a job that I really enjoy and that I look forward to going to every day 3 - find love

I took an easier week on the week of my birthday, which I also had off of work aside from Monday; I free-wheeled most days on eating and got drunk a few times. Total damage was +2 pounds and my abs are hiding a bit more but I'm back on it now!

Single for a little past three years now myself.

My dealership decided we wanted to move all of the new/used inventory indoors or as close to as possible so we could plow the lot today. I also haven't worked since 12/17 thanks to vacation days so I got a little bit caught up on the used car inventory, which I more or less manage. My biggest contribution of the day was an…

This is the part I'd go with. I do some isolation biceps curls, but I do them with dumbbells. Four sets of eight reps starting with 40lb 'bells and decreasing to 25s. As far as a straight bar, I think the one time I tried that, my six rep was around 60lbs, but I try to avoid barbell curls because they, for some reason,…
