I'm pretty sure you're supposed to take in at least 1200 net calories a day, but I know that I can never do that. I burn so many calories when I workout that it's hard for me to achieve this goal. I would never make fun of anyone for working out. Whether it's walking, lifting or running, you're still beating those couch potatoes at home! Don't listen to those other people. I don't like to eat too much before a workout, especially since I do a lot of cardio. I usually eat an apple beforehand, then eat a regular breakfast, such as egg whites and toast or cereal or oatmeal afterwards. That gives me plenty of energy for the day!
