If you are feeling heart problems I would definitely check with your doctor. As far as staying within a specific HR zone that depends on your goals. There is a formula call the MAF formula (Max aerobic formula) that has you staying within certain levels to improve cardio endurance. I have done this before. It drove me nuts…

Are you following the calendar for the workouts? I think the only double days are when you do workout plus Abs. So you would do both yes.

Honestly I had a friend try this and never lost anything. I know that's not helpful.

I think eating less processed doesn't mean not eating. I would definitely not eliminate everything at once if you choose to do this. I would just eliminate or even slowly cut back one at a time. There is sugar in foods naturally so I am assuming they mean added sugars?

I think the older generation worked harder etc and didn't sit around watching TV. I think all things in moderation. Watch what- you eat- correct portion sizes, have good ratio of protein-fats- carbs (even if not logging you can tell if you are carb loading or eating too much junk food). I don't over think what I eat I just…

Don't get me wrong I think wrestling is great for kids who want to do it but I hate the emphasis on weight even though I can understand the reasoning. Drives me nuts we try not to get kids self concious yet this does the opposite. Anyway I guess maybe telling grandparent he can't have extras may have helped or (not sure…

It will be different push ups and amounts daily to just work on building up the number of push ups you can do and to throw in some variety push ups to challenge everyone. Just a fun challenge

I prefer cold/cool weather running as I overheat easily and do not sweat. It's easy to layer but I can only strip down so much - LOL

Well put. You can do cardio just not intense.

I used to have to go too (and TMI- I don't mean pee). I would get horrible cramps and be miserable from it. Are you eating before running? And if so what? Are you drinking any water or anything before also?

I was also going to say swimming. Do some strength thats non weugh bearing too and ab exercises laying down. Hope it heals quickly.

Sounds less like a personal trainer then just someone who works at the gym and shows you how to use the equipment. Coming from someone working on heir PT certification- I would not accept this. You should not be "shoved" between PT/ there should be one assigned to you. That person needs to sit down and talk with you. Find…

Went out for 14 mile run today and just under 2 miles my right leg seized up near tr outer hip area. Stretching on course did t help so hobbled home and hoping it is better tomorrow so I can get that long run in! Not sure what happened.

This week I managed a 12 mile run and then kept rest at 3-5 miles.

I don't carry water bottle or anything either. I do take my energy&enduramce before though. And during a race get water at the stations- slows me down as I'm not one of those drink and run people. When training I do my p90x energy and endurance (it's adde to water) and drink about 3 cups about 15-20 min before heading out.…

My anxiety comes on race day. When training even for 5 and 10k and this 1/2 I've been fine. But come race day I always go I to panic attack mode :-/

I've been off and on sick the past couple weeks. I have manages a 9 and 6 mile run but the rest have been about 3-4 before I can't breathe. Finally starting to feel better and hoping to get a long run in this week.

If you wear a different pair do your feet ache also? That would be a good indicator. I rotate shoes each run. My feet did ache when first running a longer distance. However of you are wearing a brand new show and type you've never worn its possible they will hurt your feet until broken in. Sorry I know this wasn't very…

Awesome story and so true! Mine was when I was doing a charity 5K for cancer a couple years after my dad and father in law passed away from cancers. That was 3 years ago. And I've been running since- even through pregnancy.

Welcome and congrats on the weight loss. I love the support you'll find on MFP. Let us know how the race goes.

I'll also be starting Les Mills Pump next week for strength training.

Do you have a heart rate monitor that you could set an alarm for? If not I think it will just take a lot of mental thinking to remind yourself to slow it down.
