You can do it! I was in wk 6 on the couch to 5k when I ran my first 5k and I surprised myself but not only finishing but running the whole thing and coming in quicker than I thought I would!

I was hesitant when I first tried it but am hooked now. It is fun and the time flies by. Plus I burn anywhere from 450-700 calories in 45 minutes- depends on what the instructor does that day.

You sound right in your thinking. They either need to do something else or kick it up a notch as they are not getting anything out of it anymore.

There are pasta "scoops" that have serving holes in them to measure dry pasta. I used to use that until I got a scale.

I hear you! Max is almost 10 months and I still do not have a nice flat/taut belly. I also have stretch marks to contend with and my lovely gall bladder surgery scars. So depressing (LOL). I have noticed it slimming down but definitely need to find a way to help flatten it. I do pilates, cardio and some light weights.

Dumb question but how thick of chicken breasts are you using? It usually takes 35-40 min when I cook chicken not 5-7 minutes each side.

I am also a SAHM to two kids. While I have a gym membership I also workout at home. I try and fit in a workout DVD or a run or walk either before the kids get up or after they go to bed. I say if you want to wear a bikini and care comfortable with it go for it. I struggle with this myself. When I get to my goal weight and can rock a bikini I am not 100% I will still be comfortable due to pregnancy stretch marks and gall bladder surgery scars too. But I hope to get past that thinking.

Thanks! I did not eat the extra sauce and scraped a lot of the sandwich nor did I eat the fries :-) So I will go as is. If it is off a little I guess it won't hurt me too much for a day.

Log it under strength in the cardio section too and it will add it in.

It really depends on the class. I vary anywhere from 450-800 for an hour depending on the workout for the day. if you can afford it invest in a HRM. I have the New Balance for $60 and love it!

I love doing Zumba and do it 1-2/week at the Y! I want to become an instructor eventually. Being I have only done it at the Y I do have a question-- are the classes/moves all similar? If I took it one place and took it out of town somewhere would I know what I was doing or be totally lost?
