Debbie I remember those hard plastic rollers, and even worse, the ones that looked like a net covered spring with brushes poking through. Yuck. How much does your mini chainsaw way? What model is it? I’ve been wanting one but fear my wrists are too weak to manage one. Lisa, so thankful to hear the Skyrizi worry has been…

Belated weekly check in: Average WT down to 132.5 for last week in May from 132.9, hope it could be a trend.Average steps dipped down to 7331 from last week’s 7609, but made goal 4 days of 7. Ps@2s habit still solid AF days in May summary later… Yesterday’s spa day eased the soreness. Barely 3500 steps, but remembered…

Lisa OMG. Prayers said for GodMomKim and good wishes whooshed her way. Still stiff and sore from my little tumble so wimped out on Classic Fit class and line dancing. Soaked in the hot tub instead. So thankful for the warmer weather, despite the WIND. Started pruning the rhodie that blocks Joe’s view of the driveway. The challenge will be to thin enough so he can see what he wants to, without murdering the beautiful flowering shrubs. Got part way through the big white one, will work on it some more tomorrow after he…

Good news from the certified arborist yesterday, mostly. The wound on our young Giant Sequoia was likely from a raccoon or squirrels. It did not go through the cambium layer. He saw no evidence, holes, sawdust etc to indicate a bark beetle infestation. A little natural dieback due to shade from surrounding Sitka spruces,…

Machka con VERY grats on taking off those litres of soda! Love “Welcome to the chair.” Mandy I have to log every bite, lick or sip to progress. And getting a food scale was a real eye-opener. Good luck! Heather, love the spruced up front, the porkpie pics and the chair! Rebecca what you said about too many ”goal clothes”…

No line dance class today, Elks was closed for the Memorial Day holiday. Was kinda hoping there’d be no Classic Fit class, but alas, there was. Only 8 people showed up and BOY did she work us hard. I even felt an abdominal muscle or two, amazing as I’ve often claimed to have none. Dogs to powerline and Jeopardy walking to…

Ssslugs! In the mini-greenhouse. Tiny one in pot of poppy seedlings, medium sized one going up the wall. [shudder] Maybe they were drawn by the warm, humid environment but how do they know to get up the deck and under the plastic? Yuck!!! Kay bless you and bless you and bless you. Lavender/Possum looks like a sweetie. Does…

Rita love love love Lucy. Yay DH! Welcome back Heidi from NC, that mold exposure sounds scary, grateful you’re healing. Lisa, Ancient peoples left trash piles too, archeologists call them “middens”. But as a fourth generation city gal I’m appalled at the sick-making ordeal you’ve been through. Thursday was a stroll with T…

Reading every post but catching up slowly, only through pg 11 Tracey neither will I agree with Michaela about the sweetness of snakes. Did she never hear the story of the woman who rescued a frozen snake? Tag line went something like “You knew I was a snake when you took me in.” 😬 Heather thanks for the advice, my GP puts…

New teacher does “Classic Fit” not Better Bones and Balance. Today’s emphasis was on biceps and triceps, exercises similar to the Strong Women Stay Young routine with 3 sets of 8 reps each. Will see if Wednesday deals more with quads and glutes. Teacher is expectably perky. We’re all sad. . . Kay that spiritual growth…

Barbie, thanks for another month, another chance, another fresh start. In preparation for our church’s kitchen remodel both fellowship committees emptied out all the “stuff” from the cabinets, storage racks, closet and island. None of us were prepared to decide what to donate, what to dump, what to keep so we just piled it…

Tina outside might not be safer depending on how tall and nearby other buildings are. In SF the Loma Prieta Quake falling debris crushed cars and covered sidewalks feet deep. You are right there is not really time. That quake sounded like an oncoming freight train. Kylia what Tracey said about the work you take home. Hope…
