I love it and Sagi is so funny. I don't care for his cardio workouts so I swap those for an Insanity or fitness blender cardio workout. I love how basic yet effective his program is.

Count calories and eat smaller amounts of what you usually eat. As long as you're in a deficit, you will lose weight. Exercise makes you fit but not mandatory for weight loss

I never really count cals when I am on vacation simply because we do soooo much walking. I actually lost weight in Vegas and we had free buffet every day that week. I must day we only ate two meals a day and bf and I are not big on grazing on snacks. Nevertheless ...I don't worry about it as I am back to my normal routine…

I never had weight issues till closer to 30 and I was simply eating too much. I do wish I started strength training earlier though.

Usually just a cup of coffee & multivitamin. I actually eat something at around 10am and it is either greek yogurt, hard boiled egg, oatmeal with chia and cinnamon, smoothie, cottage cheese with fruit / veggies

Well my smoothies aren't so calorific but it was primarily spinach, frozen fruit chunks (peach, pine, mango, berries), water, flaxseed ...sometimes I add yogurt and chia seeds too. To make yours calorific ...maybe add calorie dense stuff: peanut butter, avocado, full fat greek yogurt

Wear comfy shoes, you do a ton of walking. I actually lost a couple lbs when I went the last time. I drank a lot more water so I guess meal time I wasn't as hungry as I thought I would be. Enjoy the food and desserts though ... and you can check out the various menus online.

Modify if needed and ensure form over speed. A lot of ppl get injured with insanity because they are trying to keep up. I remember the first time I did insanity, I couldn't even do the warm up properly. Lol. Now I can do a video start to finish. Insanity max 30 actually has a modifier which is a great idea. Are you actually eating at a calorie deficit? Using food scales to measure your food? Your snacks, sensible snacks and cheat days can have you going over unfortunately.

Depends ...if I am lifting ...I ensure my form is correct and focus on the muscle being worked ...for cardio / HIIT workouts it varies from pushing through to that very last second to being happy it's over. Lol

I'm 5'4 and weigh 113 - 115 lbs most days. Jillian Michaels workouts used to be about 350 cals max on my hrm and I had to be giving it my all.

if you want to lose weight, you still need to maintain a calorie deficit. how do you know you're averaging 1000 cals for exercise a day?

Ironically, I looked my best during my divorce. I invested my spare time in a new hobby which happened to be kayaking. I also worked out a lot more. I used all my spent energy into working out ..it was therapeutic. Find something to distract yourself. As previous poster indicated, eating is a temporary fix.

Honestly I wished I started lifting sooner ...really transformed my body. My other fave is HIIT.

My condolences for your loss. Don't worry, it's just one day and you seem to have a great track record in maintaining your routine.
