  • First face and around the collar bones, then the boobs as a close second (which makes sports bras a PITA because as soon as I lose 10lbs they are no longer tight enough:mad: ).
  • You're already fighting your natural sleep cycle, so being so hungry that you can't sleep isn't healthy or beneficial. Do whatever you need in order to get as much sleep as possible. I haven't done overnights since college and I was never really hungry when I got off shift, so YMMV. My advice its this: since your day is…
  • Coconut aminos 113 mg sodium /tsp. It's pricey though. I think I paid 5.99 for an 8 oz bottle.
  • Nuts (pecans, hazelnut, cashews and almonds mostly). I can eat a can of nuts or more in a day with straining myself. I'm getting better at eating them in moderation though. Nutella... it's bad. I've gone through one of those large jars in 3 days... just a heaping spoonful here, and a heaping spoonful there... I'm kind of…
  • The one on tile. A scale should always be placed on a hard level surface for the greatest accuracy.
  • Also given that 2 tbsp of sunflower butter is about 200 cal and a half cup of coconut milk is about 150, your smoothie calories seem kind of low. But again, its hard to make a determination without know how much (how many cups, grams, mL) of each ingredient you used.
  • That's what s/he means. It's impossible to check your numbers without knowing how much kale, coconut milk, etc you used.
  • Vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk/cheese (if you're into dairy),ground beef, chicken, pork chops, shrimp (or fish or whatever seafood you like). But it really depends on what you like to eat, what your goals are, and (seeing as you are 21 and might be in college in a dorm room with limited access to a kitchen) what you are…
  • I sliced most of the top of my thumb off (through the nail)last spring. It was pretty freaking pain painful and it took longer to heal than it should have because I kept knocking it into things and reopening the wound. But just keep it clean and try not to bang it against stuff. It should heal up fine if you do. I…
  • English toffee - that stuff is like crack for me. I can eat an entire container in one sitting. Haven't had any since November and it should probably stay that way The mango sorbet - this stuff is amazing, it tastes like a real, ripe, juicy mango unlike a lot of other so-called mango flavored things. Olive oil popcorn…
  • You could go creole and make gumbo or etouffee. You can toss in whatever you like because the recipes are both pretty versatile, but I like shrimp and andouille the best. Making your own stock out of the shrimp shells really makes it taste amazing.
  • I generally guesstimate what the nutrition info would be if I made it at home, then I multiply that by 1.5 or 2. If you've ever watched any restaurant cooking shows, you'll notice that they use way more oil, salt etc than you'd use at home. This seems to work for me and I'd suggest not stressing too much about it. It's all…
  • My vitamin D was at 6.8 or something and the lower normal limit is supposed to be 30. I never felt unexpectedly achy, weak or tired. I don't feel any different in the months that I've been taking supplements, but everybody's different I guess.
  • These are even better when you mix some smoked paprika into the cream cheese mixture, wrap them in bacon and cook them on the grill/
  • Practice portion control and self control. I would be more satisfied with a mini portion of real [insert desired dessert here] than some of the banana + protein powder/ fake sugar laden abominations that pop up in the recipe threads. Have half of that slice of cake and enjoy it.
  • Sunday night make a frittata with whatever meats, veg and cheese you like. Reheat for a minute or less in the morning. You can make it in muffin cups for easy portioning.
  • I did the whole30 during December and it was pretty much the healthiest I've eaten for a straight month. Produce/ frui: Acorn squash Spaghetti squash Spinach Broccoli Bok choi Onions Ginger Garlic Scallions Sweet potatoes Tomatoes Eggplant Jalapeños Carrots Celery Leeks Peppers Brussels sprouts Asparagus Turnips Kale…
  • The apple pie and cheesecake can be frozen. Just cut 'em up into individual slices. I have no idea about the lemon meringue, but I suspect that the meringue part won't survive the freezing/thawing process very well, so maybe enjoy that now or give it away.
  • The mileage is always wrong for me on my ultra. I think I take small steps, so it's always higher than what I've actually walked. I never bothered to input my stride length though, maybe you need to do that?
  • All of the girls on the show Girls. Ugh I only watched one episode, but it made me want to reach through the screen and slap each and every one and tell them to get over themselves. All of them were incredibly irritating, but Shoshanna was the worst. Just listening to her talk made my eye twitch. Her character would be…
  • http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/anne-burrell/ginger-ice-cream-recipe/index.html http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/anne-burrell/molasses-cookies-recipe/index.html The ginger ice cream with the cookies make an amazing ice cream sandwich. I made it this summer, first time I'd ever made ice cream and it came out like a…
  • It named a town about 10 min away from where I live, so it was pretty much spot on for me.
  • That seems accurate enough to me. A cup of raw broccoli is 30 cal. And if fried correctly then the food doesn't really absorb that much fat. So unless the broccoli was really, really greasy then that 120 might be a bit on the high side. ETA: it just occurred to me that the broccoli might have been battered if you deep…
  • I tried a few of the step counter ones on my ipod touch, but all of them were grossly inaccurate. Eventually I went with a fitbit. I would say stick with the ones that use gps for greater accuracy.
  • I say movies too, maybe a double or triple feature, if you really don't want to hang around at home. Unless you live way out in the boonies, a movie theater will be open. Or crank up the netflix, make your own popcorn (stove top rather than microwave isn't too hard on the calorie budget) and snacks (maybe even some of the…
  • It really depends on the brand. Some are tart, some are tangy, some (chobani plain) I've found almost inedible bitter, some are sour. Fage and Dannon are the only two I've found that I can eat plain. Other brands require some kind of sweetener to make them palatable.
  • I'm doing Whole30, on day 11. I don't feel amazing or anything like some people claim, but I don't feel super deprived (or I didn't think so but I just dreamed today that I went off plan and was arrested for stealing because I reached in and ate/stole some chocolate from this guy's candy stand). I'm having trouble getting…
  • Might be sodium. During November my sodium intake was really high due to eating out and overeating in general (a serving of potato chips has 6-7% of your daily sodium which is reasonable, half a bag, though... not so much). Last week I dropped it (not even to the low sodium level a doctor would recommend, just to below…
  • My mom does this, and I can't understand it. Do you really want your apple pie to taste like the salmon you ate for dinner?
