I can't find anything about this by Googling, which is . . . odd.
-
Could you be more specific on what has you confused?
-
Were these people in a controlled environment and served the food that they were observed eating or did this rely on self-reporting?
-
What is it?

Once you start cooking, you will figure out how to make things without a recipe, you'll end up memorizing some recipes and you'll learn how to adapt recipes to suit your family. It does get easier!

I am sure that she's aware that books exist, she's asking for specific recommendations. OP, I liked Women Food and God by Geneen Roth. Despite the title, it's not religious, it's more of a spiritual component. amazon.com/Women-Food-God-Unexpected-Everything/dp/1416543082 Edited to add: This same author has written several…

Meal "templates." One night is soup night, I can make soup without a recipe. Pasta night, no recipe needed, grab a pasta, a sauce, salad, bread. Crockpot night, sandwich night, you get the idea. You can even plan on one night off to have a frozen pizza or some other no brainer.
-
Nope. What she meant was that's how she likes it so the rest of us had to eat it that way.
-
No, she's just lacking punctuation. That part should read, "Don't be scared to eat, too. 800-950? Baby girl, you're tripping!" It took me a couple of reads to get it.
-
I'm sorry, I guess I misunderstood your what your concern is.
-
I wish people would stop calling me bro.
-
Um yeah, 150 pounds of water would not be pleasant. You probably mean ounces but I wouldn't want to drink that much either! It honestly doesn't matter for weight loss, just make sure you're hydrated as indicated above.

Enough to make sure your urine is pale yellow. Keep in mind that you get fluid from eating and also from other beverages.

I don't look at it that way. I put on the weight during a time of crisis which I dealt with by overeating. Prior to that I was a normal BMI and I have maintained this higher weight for years, so I haven't been eating an insane amount of food that I am going to miss when I reach my goal weight. In fact, maintenance of my…

You plan to eat less than you burn for the rest of your life? At some point you will need to stop and maintain your loss, don't you think?
-
Well, I don't plan to restrict my calories forever, so I'm on a diet. I guess I don't understand why people get so hung up on a word.
-
If he's not losing now then eating more won't help. The advice to tighten up logging is the best place to start.
-
As long as you're active enough it will "give them back." :)

Thank you! We are constantly telling people with serious medical issues and/or an ED history to seek professional advice. All of a sudden on this thread it's "mean girls who are ganging up and being mean." Asking this person if they had a therapist is a perfectly valid question and didn't warrant any of the negative…

How many people stop eating at an arbitrary time at night because Dr. Oz/Oprah/someone told them to? How is this any different? Or do they all have an "eating disorder," too?
-
Oh, so that's why I can't hear my angels.

Same here, she's been told repeatedly that a TDEE is at best a guesstimate and if she's positive about her intake then the alternative is that she's burning more than the calculator spits out. Why this is dismissed out of hand with an insistence that she defies the laws of physics is beyond me at this point.
-
OK, where exactly do you think the excess calories go? According to you, you're not burning them off but you're also not storing them as fat. Is it magic? What process is making you lose weight in a surplus?
-
You don't KNOW how much you burn. No one does. The best we can do is make an educated guess and adjust according to our results. The reason no one believes you is not because we think you're lying. I think you believe what you're saying. But it's just as if someone told us the earth is flat. No matter how sincere and…

Well, you are not "pretty damn overweight." You are about 10 pounds above the healthy BMI range. Yes, we're short so that 10 pounds is more obvious on us than other people but it's not even obese. Losing it slowly is your best course of action.
-
It's not a matter of not believing you, it's not physically possible. You're mistaken on one end or the other.
-
Especially if it's wine and cheese!
-
Do you weigh and log everything you eat?
-
OK, well you're clearly unable to discuss this without getting upset, plus you have medical issues. You should discuss this with a doctor and/or a therapist.
-
Well your response to a very simple and appropriate question was quite rude, I was hoping you were trying to be funny.
