umm, i think if I heard that comment directly to my face, my hand would be itching to slap something... or someone.... I know that that comment is not MEANT to be mean, but it still is. I wish people would think before they speak...

I've been using the Butt bible videos for about 5 weeks or so. I am on level 2 and I think I will be sticking with it for awhile. Level 3 requires a dumbell thing that I don't have. The workouts are pretty good, they are very tailored and she does incorporate a little cardio in as well. As with most home videos, you can…

I love the Butt Bible, there are 3 levels, so you can work you way up.

I would say take a day off and let your foot recover. Running is high impact and might make pain worse, give it a rest. (just my suggestion :) )

LOL- sit down ninja fighting! I thinks that sounds like a super fun workout :) Looks like you have a great plan, I may have to steal some of it, especially the ninja fighting...

I have a polar FT7 with a chest strap and a watch- I love it. Obviously, I got the women's watch, i don't think it's too bulky and best of all, it's easy. Oh, and the machines at the gym pick up the signal (they are polar equipped or whatever) so, I can see my heart rate right there on the treadmill too.

I have to have foot surgery next month so I feel ya... My plan: lots of mat/core pilates. That's as far as I've gotten so far...

I do 30 day shred about 2x's a week. Other days I go for walks, runs, yoga, weight training, zumba, etc... I like to mix it up. I think that it is meant to be done about 4x's a week or so, but I prefer do do things my own way :)

Honestly, learn to love your muscular legs. Between genetics, your activities, and your body type- unless you completely change what type of sport you do, your legs are going to stay muscular. Even with changing your activity (running instead of other sports) your legs will likely always be muscular. So, instead of…

the hormones will get you every time... being female comes with it's own special set of weight control problems. Anyhow, I am sending you a friend request. I love having friends to help motivate!

wow this thread got interesting! I have large thighs too, and it takes the longest to see a difference there, so I like working on toning my leg muscles while I work out and do a whole bunch of different types of workouts....okay moving on... if you are looking for workouts to try, I might suggest Jillian Michael's Yoga…

Holy Cow, you look awesome!! Fantastic work and congratulations!

for lean muscle and fat burn, have you tried pilates or yoga? Both pilates and yoga help lengthen and stretch the muscles while working them out, may be a good alternative for you to try.

You look amazing, congratulations!!

Are you in a cast? You might enjoy swimming, some gyms have pools (I don't know if you can do that w/ a broken foot or not)... Unfortunately, I don't think there is really much cardio you can do with a broken foot. The best thing would probably be to really watch your calorie intake and keep up your strength until the…

I think it's because when you are actively trying to lose weight, you want the weight gone STAT! So we do the work, we expect our body to show drastic changes instead of the little changes that naturally happen over time. Plus, we evaluate our progress closely and see ourselves everyday, it's not so easy to see the…

Hey Everyone! I'm Heather, aka Book Savvy Babe- 1.) How old are your children and how many do you have? I have 2 young boys, ages 4 (Jeremiah) and 7 (Micah) 2.) Will you be planning to have more kids in your future? Nope, I have 2 happy, healthy boys and I'm sticking with them! 3.) How was your pregnancy/delivery? Hahaha,…

LOL, this totally happens to me too. I am also fair skinned and I do have some Swedish blood as well. When I go to the gym and sit in the sauna after a work out, i am ridiculously red and splotchy , and stay red for awhile... However, I have always been consoled by the fact that my even fairer skinned sister gets redder...…

having friends definitely helps with the motivation! I am new to MFP, so I need more friends too :)

I am just starting my "get fit" program here. I am doing BBV, I have about 1 shake a day, I mix in other stuff with it to help fill it out (fruit, low fat peanut butter, yogurt, etc) The shakes are really tasty, and they are an easy meal. For me, the shakes are a tool, as is the whole 90 day challenge thing. I like the 90…

sometimes getting started is the hardest part, both for you and for hose closest to you. You have to train new habits, and the old habits are tough to break. Change is tough and everyone has their own coping mechanisms... your BF should really try to be more open minded though. Working out 5x's a week is a lot more than a…
