I did that at first too but I was losing inches. The scale WILL catch up with the inches if you keep at it. If you quit, they won't. Period. NEVER QUIT!

I do that too! LOL If I eat more calories than usual, I KILL myself on the cardio to work it off.

get an hrm! they are more accurate like the previous poster stated! Some machines are pretty close to what the hrm says, however others are not. It just depends!

yeah the egg mckmuffin is truly the best breakfast option if you have to eat there. That's crazy that all that other stuff is inside their other "eggs". Ick.

I work out 6-7 days a week. 50-55 minutes on the elliptical and then at least 30 minutes on the bowflex - I work different muscle groups each day though. Hope that helps!

I usually don't log it until AFTER I'm finished; however, sometimes I have my phone on my elliptical with me and I'll log it just so I know what my goal is. I've never not accomplished it. Everything I log... I do!

I have a 20 year old daughter, a 19 year old son (13 months difference!), a 16 year old daughter.... waited ten years- THEN had another boy who is now 6 and another daughter who is now 4 (22 months difference!) Yes. I'm crazy. :)

I keep them on hand if I'm in a hurry and don't have time to fix an appropriate lunch, but they have a lot of calories to me. I prefer the EAS low carb shakes for only 110 calories verses 190 in a slim fast.

I personally don't see how starving your body for 24 hours would cause any fat loss... water loss, maybe... but the whole point is to lose fat. Just my opinion! :)

I'm not sure how much body fat he has. Is there a way to figure it at home without having a caliper? He does want to build muscle but at this point, it's more important that he lose the fat THEN build the muscle.
