I am in Georgetown. Close. Lived in Everett for 12 years. Good luck with your goals!!!

Was expecting another ridiculous "eat back your excersise calories" debate. This thread may still go there, but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw you are asking the exact right question. The whole question of eating back v. not eating back is pretty much semantics. Whether you set your activity level to sedentary, and…

I am trying to figure this out too. I am pretty close to the weight I want to be, but am going to start working on body composition with some weight training. Not sure if measurements are going to get smaller, or larger after weight training. I put it off for as long as I could, but now, my 36” waist pants are so baggy, I…

That's just crazy talk!!!! I'm with you about posting calories for food items, but let's leave the drinks out of it. I don't see any problem with young (or even older) girls binge drinking and getting into trouble. Sheeeeshhh... what are you trying to do, ruin my social life????

I know, right? Does carrot cake even have any carrots in it????

C'mon! It's Sunday morning. It's been a tough week... Nice post!

I just did the same thing tonight. Makes perfect sense to me. The butcher trimmed it before you purchased it, you wouldn't count that, why ccount what you trimmed?

^^^This. First lesson in time management: There are only 24 hours in a day. You're never gonna get "more time". Now that you know the rules, you have to realize YOU control what happens in those 24 hours. Your'e priorities don't reveal themselves by what you SAY is important. They reveal themselves in what you DO. Right…

Probably, but rather than focussing on calories so much, will probably focus more on macros, and specific nutrition/excercise goals. I'm a bit of a nerd, and love to analyze the numbers and learn more about myself from them. So, as long as I'm having fun, why not keep tracking?

Knowledge is power. I weigh in everyday, track it in a spreadsheet. Iunderstand how my food and exercises affect the scale and it helps me make better choices.

And pus, don't forget the pus. lol

WOW!!! Was expecting a thread full of "man-bashing". Was very pleasantly surprised with some of you (you know who you are!!). Wish my ex had gotten advice from some of you, before she divorced me because "she shouldn't have to tell me, I should know what she wants ". Maybe there is hope.... To OP: You've got to communicate…

Just so long as you keep it within your calorie goal, you'll lose weight. I have several beers every week, and have not had a problem losing.
-
I like it plain, but gets a little boring. Lots of great ides. Thanks to all!!!!
-
WOW!!!! What a change! Great job!

My understanding is that if you eat below your BMR, your body won't get enough nutrients. So, yes you will burn fat and muscle for energy, but it won't have all the nutrients it needs.

Whatver you decide, I would definitely vote for getting protien, and all nutrients from real food. A couple less common suggestions, Kashi - Go Lean Crunch cereal with skim milk, a surprising 10 grams of protien, and lots of fiber too! Almonds are great too, a little high in calories, but a great source of protien and good…

Congrats. That is a great story!!! All the best.

This is the best as per my research: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ I use the Military calculator for body fat%. Just make sure you are consistent and use the same tool every time. Good luck!
