I eat when I am hungry. If I am not hungry, I don't eat them back.

Try to pick something healthy off the menu at the place tonight. We all have bad days. Tomorrow is a new good day. Don't worry about it.

I have a lot of pet peeves. I should run a shelter for homeless peeves. I shall call it the Asylum for Wayward Peeves. -people who slurp/smack or otherwise chew with their mouth open. When I am queen, this will be a crime punishable by repeated slapping. Actually, the sound of the repeated slapping probably sounds too much…

I don’t know about most people, but I don’t just randomly compliment people for no reason. If I happen to notice that someone has lost a lot of weight, and I’m reasonably certain that they wanted to lose that weight, I might compliment them on their progress.

I think you are confusing nutrients with calories. Calories alone do not give you nutrition. There is plenty of crap out there people eat that is high in calories and has no nutrition in it whatsoever. If you are eating a lot of low calorie foods like fruit, veggies, lean protien etc. and taking daily vitamins, meeting…

I don't have, want or even particularly like children. And I'm pretty sure that in the heat of the moment, I'd risk my own life to save a defenseless child. Sitting here being rational, I'm saying no I wouldn't but in the heat of the moment, instinct to protect a defenseless small human would take over for most adults.…

You could just be gaining muscle. And that is a good thing!

I meet all of my goals for nutrients per day, every day, thanks.

1 lb a week is really good and you should be proud of that! As for the initial 10 lb loss, could be many things. My weight fluctuates up to 10 lbs throughout the day because of water etc. If I weigh in the am, I weigh less than I do at noon and then another different weight at bedtime. You also may have been wearing…

Are you a doctor? Because OP was quoting a doctor. I agree with everything the OP doctor said. Starvation mode is a ridiculous myth and numerous studies have been done to show that it only really happens in extreme situations and/or EDs. Here's one such study:…

I have never had nor do I want children. I'm pretty sure that in the heat of a moment would shield a child from a hungry bear/bullet/car/whatever if put in that situation. I think it's just instinctive as an adult to want to protect children.
-
I say no, because I'm sitting at a desk thinking rationally and thinking about how my own family needs me etc. In an emergency situation though, if I saw a child in danger and could shield them, I think instinct would kick in and I would protect the child. I think most adults have a natural instinct to protect children.

If you don't sync it with MFP, how exactly is it different from a pedometer that measures calories etc.?

I use my iPhone as a gps & a pedometer & a music player... if my iPhone ran out of batteries, I'd probably cry. lol ETA: I run & walk along a route that takes me past numerous gas stations and dept. stores with restrooms so restrooms are not an issue for me.

I am a busy person. I have a 2 hour commute each way every M-F and my desk job keeps me away from home between 5:45 AM and 6:00 pm weekdays. When I get home, I have a house to clean and I do ferret rescue so at any given time there are between 4 to 6 small, needy animals in my house who need cleaning up after and playtime.…

I have had a two hour plus commute (each way) for the last 7 years. A typical day for me is: 5:15 – 5:30 am wake up, roll out of bed, morning stuff 5:30-5:45 finish getting ready for work, check on the ferrets 5:45 – 7:45 commute time (includes a mile long walk from the train station to the office) 7:45 – 4:00 work, eat…

I don’t really have any stipulations for adding friends. But if people start to get on my nerves for some reason, I will delete them off my list. If they annoy me on the forums I heart the little “ignore user” button. As a rule, I try not to add people who have no sense of humor, take everything too personally or who…

I am a beer and wine snob lol. I just budget beer & wine into my calorie intake for the day or plan to work it off. One or two drinks once in a while isn't going to totally derail you. Treat it like you would treat any other snack.

OMG... How did I forget to say Dio??? Add Dio to my list. \m/

Poison & Great White both had some fun tunes back in the day. Most of the music I still listen to is power metal (not really hair metal). Though the guys in Iced Earth do have them some sexy hair.

Personality is what keeps me, so it’s more important. You can change your looks, but being a d-bag is forever, usually. If your personality sucks, you are eye candy and nothing more. Looks will get my attention. I’m only attracted to guys with longish hair who are at least somewhat in shape (by somewhat in shape I mean…

Not sure if this is silly, but I sometimes have irrational fears about something bad happening to my pets. I have ferrets and they, sadly, don’t live that long (about 9 years is the max I’ve seen one live). Once they hit about 4 years old, they are prone to all kinds of horrible cancers. Because they are considered…

If you really want something, you make time for it. Walking is easy for me. I have to walk a mile from the train station I get out at to my office building and then another mile back at the end of the day. That’s not enough for me though. So other things I do: I eat lunch at my desk and then use my lunch break to walk…

I'm sorry. I feel your pain. I tripped while jogging last week, hurt my knee and my foot pretty badly and have been told I need to stay off of it for at least a week. Once you get used to being active daily, it's hard to sit still.

I meet all of my daily goals for nutrients and am healthier than I have been in years. I eat all day, have plenty of engery and if I really want a snack, I have it. I don't see how that is unhealthy.

if I ate 1700 a day like MFP wanted me to, I'd seriously explode. I eat a lot, all day long. I just tend to eat veggies and things that are very low cal and fill me up.

My last ex & I were together for a few years but having problems and I was not happy in the relationship for months before we actually broke up. I should have left a lot sooner than I did because I knew he and I wanted different things out of life. So I was kind of already over him when we actually split up. There was a…
