Awesome post girl! I loved reading your words. I am a daily weigher but i do it from a purely scientific perspective fully appreciating the lies and inconsistencies; I do it to learn how my body works not to try to pound it into submission. Every trend that i see corresponds directly to the theories you posted and I like…

shoot almost forgot! lemon juice, quick sqeeze!

hummus "who-moose" (but kind of like make a hacking sound for the first syllable) is so healthy! i love it! it's calorific though so budget :) I think somewhere between 100-200 calories per 2 tbsp depending on brand. try it with olive oil drizzled on top and toasted pine nuts topped with a sprinkle of paprika and fresh…

gotta love that muscle memory, you put in the hard work before and are reaping benefits:flowerforyou: ! even with so much bedrest and twins you are in better shape than I, who have never been pregnant and been dieting since 11/4/10!!! CONGRATS, your jealous fan!:drinker:
-
heck no that's not too ambitious! I've lost 25 pounds since Nov. 4, 2010, even with all the holiday stuff. We can do it!! :drinker:

I'm new, I'm not sure I belong. I'm not ttc yet, but just getting ready for when I am. I'm Nili.

I am trying not to get pregnant until I get to goal weight and maintain, even though I desperately want a family already. I just want to give my baby the best start possible, and I think that's a common thread here. I hope your prayers come true and that you are able to conceive, I think this is an excellent step and…

interesting perspective. I am totally gonna check out fit for future families because that's my goal! thanks for posting this or I never would have known about that! it is bad news to be overweight while pregnant yet nobody seems concerned about it, but it (can) results in small babies, large babies, babies with low blood…

also, the smart ones ice cream candy bars are awesome - just like snickers ice cream bars but with fewer calories, very satisfying. it's a shame this stuff is so expensive! A trick I learned is to get some graham crackers or other lower calorie cookie and put a couple tablespoons of whipped topping on 'em and freeze.…

ahem, have you tried the skinny cow ice cream caramel cones with fudge in the bottom? and have you found the strawberry skinny cow ice cream sandwiches - I loved 'em and now they are nowhere to be found...

i eat chocolate and chips regularly and often, just in moderation. on the other hand, i can't even have peanut butter in the house - there is no moderation/will power/divine intervention when it comes to my need to eat peanut butter. it's super-human.
-
your colon will hate you, but fat free chips. or fewer regular ones, or popcorn 97% fat free. and you can substitute carob chips, if you like, for chocolate - they are like little chocolate chips but no chocolate.

oh, and I should add - Day 1 is the hardest. You lose the most weight your first week - because it's the hardest! Just stick with it.
-
shoot, don't let that alienate you! weight loss does not occur because you go under calories, weight loss occurs because through counting calories you learn about yourself - how you eat, when you eat, how much you really eat. Then you can make adjustments and learn how to lose weight effectively. These "mistakes" teach you…

I'm in and going one better - I have never been able to ever do a single pull-up the real way. I want to be able to do 25 in a row by the end of this year? IS that even do-able? I dunno. What do you think MFP peeps?
-
Yay! I love those days! 21 days=a habit, 6 months=a lifetime habit :)

are you logging your calories? drinking water? i do not recommend any pill or supplement except regular multi-vitamins. You start with those pills you're in for trouble.

hooray for pantsizes smaller than shoes sizes! I wear size 11 and have shoes and pants in both. but my dream item is neither cloth nor shoe - it is ARMBAND!!! I want a metal arm band for my UPPER ARM. Now, this is like a distant dream fantasy thing for me, but maybe if we all pray really hard and I actually finish the…

I am shocked. What a horror show, that is like a major nightmare of mine. but can you imagine what people must think of him? all those people he embarrassed you in front of probably don't think a thing is wrong with you, but him! That poor jerk has probably alienated every person he ever came across, like some kind of…

okay, you have ladies like mine. You need this bra. It costs $40 and it's my only sports bra. It has survived 3 years. It never loses shape or support. You can sleep in it. It has underwire that is comfy. It is awesome and I am like the all-time sports bra critic. Your ladies will be elevated, supported, and nicely…

Agreed. It is a sad day, and a hard start to a new year for many families. Some good people gave up their lives doing what they could to better a community, and that is a truly noble sacrifice. Although their presence will be so missed in the lives of their families, if anyone here reading this has lost a loved one in this…

I wish gun training was mandatory the same way I wish people had to take aircraft mechanics' classes before getting their license to fly small private planes. I also think it makes no difference, but I wish it did. Sadly, just another dream similar to the one I have about all people having 24-7 access to their doctors,…

I think people who go out and kill officers having coffee before work are cowards. They should be drafted en masse with their gangs as operation human shield and sent weaponless abroad to form organic walls between insurgents and marines, instead of supported with three hots and a cot for any amount of time. But these are…

I live in Los Angeles. I don't know what to say. We cannot afford to lose any officers, and my heart goes out to the families who lost loved ones. I have so much respect for the people who go into this noble profession with their hearts on their sleeves, discipline, intelligence, and such bravery.

2nd skin or moleskin is sooo good! they are like these gel squares that you can get at the drugstore in the first-aid/bandaid aisle. I swear to you, you will not even remember you have blisters! I used 'em all during cross-country in high school.

also, i agree with the person who said a conversation with your boyfriend is warranted, but i bet you're venting here because he is a selective listener. talk to him about this and tell him he is a good person, that you have no intention of leaving him when you look good but that you expect him to help you in this journey…

he's being controlling. Also, just because he's good looking doesn't mean his arteries are in good shape. you actually begin heart disease at 15 years old. It is never too late to change, but the outside is never a good measure of a person's inside. a good man wants you to be the best version of yourself, not just there…

ask your doctor about nutrition for while you're healing also.
-
you should google what happens if you rebreak your foot and the bone doesn't knit. i'd be scared and not put weight on it without doctor's order and run exercise ideas by him.
-
You should ask your doctor for some ideas and run everything by him/her! but off the cuff, arm circles! seated weights (arms only) ! seated punches (like kick boxing but seated and without kicks).
