fill up on steamed veggies! have some tea and a couple tea biscuits before bed (32 calories for 2, you get 'em in the grocery store). check out the 300 calorie recipes people keep talking about...speaking of which I think I'll go google that myself right now.

ew day 1! I hate that day1, don't you? Stay strong girl! It gets easier! And pretty soon you will see yourself looking cuter than you thought you could, all happy and self-assured confident because you've done so well! You're in my prayers!

oh, and just to add, because I see some posts about weighing once a day but more than once, I get on the scale, and off. and that is the weight I record. My goodness, you'd think we were talking about good and evil and the weight of a soul here!

I weigh myself everyday, but not more than that. Weighing myself daily lets me know how my trends are and keeps me on track with my diet. over the past 90 days I have noticed that I tend to put on a pound, then lose a little more than a pound. It fluctuates. I try not to skip a day to weigh because I know I normally skip…

IN! (got graduation coming up and my aunt is making a really special collage of my grandma in her nursing cap, my mom in hers, and then me in mine, and I really want to look beautiful in it . Also, my husband and I are having our first anniversary in march, and I'd like to be closer to goal by then)

I can be quite lazy, it's a problem. but i usually cook a bunch of lean ground beef or chicken, drain it, and have it in different containers, with different sauces. Then I have a serving of rice and another serving or two of noodles in individual servings containers. It's good a few days, so a scoop of meat, a scoop of…

i feel kinda odd messaging people in my area, like it's a little too forward. So, I'm just gonna tag along on your post and say this: 27 year old married woman looking to work out with other 20-30 year old women in the area, Santa Monica/Culver City. I don't belong to a gym, but have free weights at home and extra yoga mat…

wish I could help, i'm buddyless in los angeles. everyone here is preparing for a marathon or a couch potato it seems.

Fiber One granola bars are delish with coffee for a quick snack, like 140 calories. Just make sure you drink plenty of water during the day. Also I love burritos, the mission low carb tortillas are awesome with some fat free refried beans (you can easily make 'em yourself - just get a can of black beans and partially…

it may say one english muffin, but you can type in 0.5 instead of the amount given. that's what I do.

aspartame and and most sugar substitutes are bad for you. if you get some seltzer water and (not tonic) and flavor it with juice should be healthy and less boring than water, and less sugar than straight juice. I like green tea and coffee but caffeinated beverages are not best either. If it's a lifestyle plan go with the…

I'm told an exercise focus is best, but for me, it has always been easiest to diet first. of course, I have yet to maintain a desired weight. so take it for what it's worth.

I read that part about shunning old friends and thought "oh my gosh, me too!" I am totally embarrassed not just of my fatness, but of my yo-yo-iness. People have flat out told me, "you just go up and down don't you?!" And I feel like, "what the heck people? Like you're so normal just because you don't show your coping…

tell 'em you're bringing some awesome appetizer (or two) and pick something you can make and eat that will taste amazing and be totally healthy! A brownie is only like 150 calories so make room in your diet for a brownie or two and bring some other stuff too! If they're worried about you maybe reconsider your motivation,…

oh!~ I almost forgot! Jons market! or Vallarta. They are waay cheaper on produce!
-
whoa. any farmer's markets nearby? or um, perhaps hit the store during their sale hours? tuesday mornings were good in my grocery store in redondo, but sometimes choosing the off hours when people don't often go saves you bucks. worst prices after work or on weekends I've noted. And coupon clip! it pays!

not sure what mine's set to...I'm doing weight watchers and blog all my points daily. You are welcome to check it out!

i love watching those shows where people lose like 90 pounds in as many days, keeps my chin up! sure, it's totally possible! and the added benefit is you'll probably keep it off too!
