Why not do a public google chart and track squats? Like for the 14 stone Christmas thing you did? I am about 16 pounds to goal. From 231 to 174 so far. I need to be at 158. (I started MFP at 200). I am in day 436 of my adventure and still track in Excel (actually switched to google online tracking). Without the tracking…

Beef. Actually greek yogurt works well but adds carbs and calories. I use ice and fruit or Dole Frozen Fruit a six pound bag is $10.98 at Sams, Pineapples, Mango, Peaches and strawberries.... Also Muscle Milk powder seems to have a better consistency than most, Just Whey products catch air and get "fluffy and sudsy" Met RX…

Fila seem to work for me. I don;t run much, but I do about 1500 miles a year walking... I get them on Amazon.com have three pair I rotate... http://www.fila.com/

Miss a day now and then, no big deal. Miss 2 and the downhill descent begins. Make today your day off. But then make all the other 6. I am heading out for my 4 mile walk it's 8 degrees here but dry (Etna, Ohio). Bought a ski mask with neck cover, dress in layers, all the normal BS good gloves etc Also spend more time in…

I didn't think of the cliche photo, probably a good idea. I have been giving all of mine away.

Frozen Fruit or freeze a cut up banana the night before, I dump cold leftover coffee in mine, or use Almond Milk or Coconut milk. Just click on my food diary. Helps to use two scoops and thicken and flavor with frozen fruit. My opinion. Jon Hanson

Agreed. Go Paleo. I am becoming a fan of Primal Blueprint- Mark Sisson, also Dr. Lustig, and the Doc that wrote 'Wheat Belly" Shop at Whole Foods if you got the extra bucks. We don't have a Whole Foods Near, but you can get uncured bacon at Walmart, lots of good stuff at Sams Club and even Krogers has a section now. I was…

Just entered my squeaker goal weight (12-27-2012). I am actually 179.5 (so 13.5 ib lost) but close enough. Worthwhile goal...another stone and half to go.... Jon

I gave up, bread, potatoes (no big deal) and all grain based pasta, Ben and Jerry's and anything sugar based. Now that I am on day 260 I don't even miss that stuff. I have a piece of Dove Dark Choc now and then, but it was easier for me to knock out whole categories of food, since reading the Primal Blueprint book by Mark…

Might try Sam's Club, they have 5 pounds for $34 and a 3 pound Muscle Milk for $24 (in bags). If you check out my diary for the past few days you'll see I use it with Coconut milk (or leftover coffee) and fruit, strawberries, mixed fruit, frozen and today with fresh Kiwi. I am a little new at the shakes, but my son is a…

It's the way life is, toughen up. This is good practice for the real world, we can't all live in a TV Land, Leave it Beaver sitcom. There are mean folks out there... folks that hate puppy's, penguins, trees, and fat people. To me the snark-y and mean are less of a problem than the perpetual whiners. Nothing works for them,…

Well done. Great work and pics. Changing habits is the key, I still have 25 pounds to go. 48 gone. Thanks for sharing. I probably won't have progressive pics, like many fat folks-I have been camera shy for years.... Jon

Down 10 pounds, or 70 percent of a Stone, I think I can make it. Monitoring carbs more carefully and that seems to be working. Reading the Primal Blueprint by Mark Sission, very interesting. I like his advice. http://marksdailyapple.com

I'd read Primal Blueprint by Marc Sisson. Also look at videos on sugar at http://www.uctv.tv/ University of California. Dr. Lustig Video on "Sugar the Bitter Truth" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM Have a great evening. Jon

I have been giving them (in a kind spirit) to fat friends and relatives as I move down the scale. I've tried keeping clothes before but since I really am sold (day 240 and 48 pounds down) I am not keeping "fat clothes" this time. I lost 31 pounds then joined MFP and Fitbit (both great sites). Also folks may want to check…

Just another day, either eat on plan or not. I've been averaging 1700 to 2000 cals a day for weeks now. Thats a lot of turkey.

Anytime you can replace sugar with a natural form over a processed one is good. I'd read up on raw honey too. I have cut way back on sugar and after a 222 days, an apple feels like a delicious sweet treat. If I really need a sugar fix which is not often, I eat a 1/3 cup of raisins or Crasins. 120 cals. Rather than beat up…

I am using Fitbit which integrates with MFP. It tracks hills, steps, and walk/waddle/jog (I am not a runner). It works self contained and uploads automatically like a bluetooth device when I get near my base computer. http://fitbit.com My goal is 1,500 miles (4.11 a day usually do 5) in a year 10,000 push-ups a year (30 a…
