  • Yeah... it really just comes down to calories in vs. calories out. If you cut out refined sugar but your calorie intake remained the same, so would the scale. Figure out your calorie goal and what foods satisfy you the most. I definitely recommend using a food scale to track as accurately as possible as well :) Also, not…
  • Not much you can do except maybe not work out so the muscle atrophies! Not that I'm advocating that..but if you don't use it, you lose it. I have muscular calves too but nothing I can do about it. And maybe they're not as big as you think anyway.
  • I keep recalling how I used to look and feel in my same clothes I wear now, and how angry I get when I see the number on the scale and tape measure. Then I take it one day at a time; the present is all we have anyway. I also look at pics of fit people to kind of remind myself that I can do better and I have done better and…
  • Happens if I eat too fast. Try slowing down your eating. But honestly from your pics it just looks like you had a meal, not a big case of bloat.
  • Yes ^^ could be diet sensitivities. For me, if I just control my intake I don't bloat.
  • I never thought VS had an age limit?? I see all women all ages shop there. Maybe you're thinking of the "Pink" line that is obviously catered to young girls. Though that doesn't stop anyone from wearing it. The bras in the Pink line are cheaper and still good quality. But anyways I agree, investing in quality will save you…
  • Indeed. Thanks baconslave, Im a low carber who eats "forbidden" foods every now and then bc well, I can. If you're trying to change your tastebuds to not want sugar, then leaving it out for now may be better. Overall, I say have the honey if it fits your carb count. See how you do. If you want something and truly miss it,…
  • Agree with all of this. I'm trying to lose 10-15 as well and even though I'm eating low carb it's not coming off. Thank you for the post about sleep... pretty sure my issue is cortisol. Getting flab around my belly when I never have before and I always wake up 1-2 hours before my alarm! I also agree calories matter more…
  • If you go for jerky just make sure to look at the nutrition label and see if it fits your goals  There is often wheat, sugar, and other additives that add up the carb count.
  • Net carbs just complicates it more than I'd like. I only want one set of numbers to worry about. I do total carbs. If some were exempt from fiber then great, that's a bonus
  • What do those truly gluten intolerant people do? Im sure they order bunless burgers!! I'm surprised anyone bats an eye given how customizing orders has become a norm for any and every reason. I admit I'm shy about it and have yet to order a bunless burger at a place that doesn't already offer it in a lettuce wrap. But…
  • Just trying to be patient and staying active, not much else I can do other than eating low carb.
  • No loss this week, but I think I may start weighing in daily. And I'm pretty sure I didn't lose anything bc I didn't work out at all. The weather was pretty crappy so I just stayed in for most of it. I checked my measurements and I'm about an inch down from before so at least there's that.
  • Finally lost some weight after I added in exercise. That seems to shake off whatever fat/water my body is holding on to. Carbs staying in range. No more leg cramps or anything, finally. I guess that means I have adjusted.
  • When I was vegetarian, pretty much everything was high carb. Dr. Praegers was the tastiest I've tried.
  • Yeah it just depends on the medication. I've tried several and they all do different things. Gotta find your right cocktail. Sucks you have to be a guinea pig in the process to find out which one that is.
  • Nope, why would you feel the need to have a whole "cheat" day? Do you feel deprived? You mentioned you want to do whatever you want...so if this isn't what you want why do it? Reasons might be you are lacking some yummy fatty keto foods to satiate you, this woe isn't for you, or maybe you can afford to have a carby treat…
  • BBQ pork rinds and sour cream are a good snack if it's the munching factor you're looking for. Otherwise, you might not even be hungry for a snack while keto anyway.
  • Mine is lighter and shorter, which is so awesome
  • Every time I set specific goals I don't stick to them, lmao. So I'm just going to do the best I can.
  • I took kale and sautéed it with mushrooms in butter or olive oil with garlic powder and salt. Then I heated leftover ground beef n onions along with it. Ate that for like a week. Very good!
  • That could help! People always told me how thin I was and I really never saw it until I saw a full body pic of me. Maybe showing her someone of the same height and weight might give more perspective. She looks fantastic currently.
  • Isn't it awesome? Very easy once you get your carb level figured out. I treat carbs as treats now and budget them in. So easy, no hunger, unlimited benefits, woo!!
  • I don't tell people, it's no ones business. If it comes up, I limit bread as much as possible bc it makes me break out. And spikes my blood sugar too much. It's the truth
  • I think women really have the upper hand these days, and also people fear rejection. I know if a guy approaches me, even online, I'm wondering what his motive is and will turn cold. It's like I have to be the more bold person first and it has to be on my terms. I shoot myself in the foot so I usually have to be the one to…
  • Well, I haven't lost any weight or inches. So I'm going to need some hard data. This week I'm going to work out 6 days, and after that I'll go to 4-5 days a week. Not sure why I stopped, I've been like this all month. I'm also going to count my carbs, at least for this week. Make sure they truly are in the 50-100 range. I…
  • Well I don't recommend spending $40 or however much that tea baloney costs. What about coffee...if you don't drink it, give it a shot just for that (my mom gave it to me when i was 7 once for that and it helped, lol). Veggies? If you just started keto diet, that could be it...that happened to me, adding more veggies helped.
  • The models aren't my problem, I just have a very high expectation of myself. I would whether or not they were there. The karsashians for example are very in right now and their bodies aren't that of the runway model. As for the second part, I feel like people have an unreal picture of me because of the average person being…
  • This is more how I am. But I can't get over the fact I don't currently look like that and it really, really bothers me. I'm only about 10lbs up but it really does make a difference and you can see it more easily when you're not overweight. I put on my clothes that I've had for years and I'm like omg why do I feel like I'm…
