Hahaha pretty much my weekends! I totally get what you're saying. For me I feel like I give so much of my brainpower during the week that it's soothing and wonderful to just sit and do "nothing." I'll usually watch tv, read, chat with friends. Shopping on the other hand, omg. I need to stop, for real.

Getting up in the early hours of the morning and going for a run. Running marathons, or even half marathons -- (ironically I ran track and regularly ran 4-5 miles for years, lol) Singing along to Journey. Letting dogs sleep in your bed Weed -- I understand why you like it, but it's never been nice to me! Going to school…

Pepperoni or salami slices with cheese. Sometimes I melt the cheese on the meat. Agreed on the fat bombs. You might need more fat in your diet to keep you satisfied through the afternoon.

I'm still myself 100%, only I got an upgrade in the looks, maturity, and wisdom departments. I plan on 40's being the same! I'm not someone who ever pondered on my future so I never thought about how my 30's would be. I just lived in the moment. But I am pleasantly surprised how everything leveled up.

For me it's eggs. I stay full for hours and they're so satisfying for me. Love omelettes!!!

Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday, Merry Christmas!!!

Looking forward to some steak and red wine!

I mean it depends on what your goals are. If I want cake I'm having it. Yes it's worth the 3-5 days if that's how long it takes to get back to fat burning. Its a blip in the grand scheme of my eating. My goal for eating is to be satisfied without feeling super hungry and maintain portion control, in short. It took a long…

It was hard for me to not be stoked after I had reached my lowest weight in 7 years haha. But I refrained. Except for telling my best friend. She told me she had decided to start eating healthier and lose weight and I told her how impressed I was with low carb. She started following it, and lost a noticeable amount of…

Yes, give it more time. Also wondering how you are taking data?? You need to weigh your food, especially when just starting a diet so you can best understand portion sizes and get accustomed to portion control. Make sure to log of course. And you said you don't know how much you weigh anyway (which also isn't the best…

Eggs and cheese for sure. Foods that are higher in fat and in protein that will fill me up. Also dark chocolate, a square or two keeps my cravings for more indulgent sweets at bay.

I feel ya!! I've been trying to find my balance forever now. No one's perfect, welcome back.

I had that meme as my profile pic for a long time, ha

Yes but more of in an inspiring way not in the self deprecating way. I have decent self esteem so it doesn't get to me toooooo much.

I can't get myself to work out without music. I like zoning out to it. TV won't cut it for me

Aw, good for you

I live in the high desert. 40 C on the daily during the summer...I run at night. U can make it work if you think running will help you reach your goals. And you can start with walk-jog, if you're new or haven't done it in awhile. Doing too much at once can be frustrating and cause a rage quit!
-
My goal is really just to relearn the way I used to eat... cuz what I've been doing for the past year has gotten my weight out of hand. So, sticking to appropriate portions and making more balanced choices.

People who talk LOUDLY on the phone while on the treadmill next to me People who don't wipe down their machines (particularly when they obviously sweat all over it...)

I dunno. Too many people! I am shy-ish. I used to have my pic on here though. I'm sure I'll put one back someday.

Does that guy know you're taking a pic of him or is that you

I run. Sometimes. Not as often as I should. It is effective if you have the patience and motivation to keep doing it. When I was 18 I took a 'fat burner' that messed with my head and made me feel like I was on speed all day. I didn't lose any weight lol...

I think of it like this; I don't think most people fall on the end of one extreme (going out of their way to be rude) or the other end (sugar coating everything)... I think most fall in the middle. And some people have that extra boost of confidence and reassurance of greater anonymity to be a bit snarkier on the internet…

I think this is when the real adulting begins for me. 20s just felt like a HUGE struggle to survive and a prolonged adolescence. But let's face it, I'm a kid at heart anyway. I really don't feel any different except that I finally have a career and more wisdom; I think that defines my 30's! I agree with one of the posts…

I'm new to this group too :-) Hi! Looking to lose 20lbs and it's touuuugh. I'll be 31 in two weeks
