  • I'd look for stuff you can make the night before and just take with you as you go out the door. I feel like pancakes are too much work for real on-the-go. I'm having a similar dilemma and that's the best solution I can find. But I am lazy AF so I typically just put some nuts in a ziplock baggie and take an apple too.
  • Know that the weight loss will slow down, but don't get discouraged! Enjoy that whoosh effect. Join the low carb forum listed in the post above ^^ They are very supportive and helpful. Make sure this is something you can stick to long term, otherwise you will put back on the water you lost and it can kind of shock your…
  • Yep, this. Have what you want, just make sure it's accounted for. Also agree with the liquor with no calorie mixers
  • The caramel dipping sauce is ok. Kinda watery, artificial tasting, and is in no way as good as the real thing... but it will get you by
  • Complete bs, there is a sucker born every minute and every new generation is susceptible to the same recycled nonsense.
  • I don't feel like "me" when I'm heavier. I want to feel like myself and match what I feel on the inside to the outside. I want to be fully confident and for me part of that is having a very fit and healthy body. Also I want to look great in clothes and wear whatever I want! I also want to be able to run and jump and play…
  • Pick your favorites, or the flavors you would like to have most that day, and limit yourself to 1-2 per day. Look at the calorie count -- that is a LOT of calories to be spending on just cookies, especially if your goal is to lose weight. Those cookies are delicious but you really should start working them in, especially…
  • I prefer splenda myself. Stevia tastes awful.
  • You look awesome, @jgnatca ! And your post is spot on. I agree it's so hard to wait but every day you succeed is another day closer to being at your goal. All we have is time, so you may as well take it day by day because you don't have a choice! :) The little things you're doing will add up to a healthier, better you.
  • In regards to the OP... I could not and would not replace one for the other. It's a lovely thought I could pretentiously tell people in passing but I would be so sad inside! I just eat both as I want them.
  • I'm kind of wondering why you're doing keto so low if not wanting to stick to it long term? Just curious. Sustainable results come from learning new habits. You're right, you will gain water weight back. Glycogen replenishes. Happened to me, and it was so frustrating. I love eating low carb and support it, but it sticking…
  • This has been my experience...my one sad, sad experience consulting trainers. I'll stick to asking them how to use work out equipment. Other than that I feel like you're paying them for motivation and accountability.
  • I did it for awhile. Felt really good being satisfied and full all the time. It works, but be prepared to stick to it for life or have all the initial water weight come right back on. Feel free to request to join the LCHF group on mfp as well, they are very supportive
  • if it's making you feel uncomfortable, I'd say maybe it's too much food in one sitting? Perhaps try breaking the meals into smaller chunks throughout the day. Though I don't actually know how much you're eating in one sitting. Water weight gain is just part of weight gain at the end of the day.
  • Clearly it's not a sustainable diet. And you weren't forced to eat cake, you chose to. And you know what else? There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Cake is a fun part of life! You can still eat whatever you want, just count calories and eat LESS of it. Exercise to eat more and stay fit. You won't miss out on a thing.
  • I'm 29, not overweight just trying to have the best body possible! Lost 30lbs 8 years ago, fluctuating the same 10 lbs... would like to put a stop to that, just doing my best each day! Eating foods I enjoy, just less of them. And working on sticking to the ones that keep me full.
  • I can only speak from experience and I believe the exercises you enjoy are the ones you're most likely going to stick with. Also depends on specific goals for your body. If you no longer want to be a deflated beanie baby I'd do a combination of cardio (could be running, walking, biking, dance, whatever you enjoy) and…
  • Yeah this is where I'm coming from to. My mom wouldn't have cared at all if I just explained what was going on and asked if I could move it. For someone to take offense to that from their child, I have to believe something else is going on. Doesn't have to be anything major, but just a different type of relationship than…
  • Make your cookies and read the calorie information beforehand. Then budget them into your day. If you have baked goods without calorie information, google the closest thing to them online and see what the general consensus is. It won't be as accurate but it's better than not trying at all. ETA I agree with the above…
  • 5'7" size 2 when 135
  • What is that about anyway...is it mfp probation? I never found any of those people offensive. If anything, too straightforward for other's likings. Science ftw! Only thing that has truly helped me. Gah I HATE those "ItWorks" crap!! Along with any other gimmick...and sadly there are many
  • You can eat bread again. I was low carb for awhile and added it back... gained nearly 10lbs. Whatever. It's not real fat so I can deal with that. You have to find the way of eating that works best for you. It sounds like eating everything you like in moderation is the best approach. Your plateau relates to calories in vs.…
  • I noticed that too, and didn't even know they had changed their recipe. The couple bars I've had lately are just not good and taste like every other protein bar now.
  • Shiny?? Vaseline. Otherwise eat at a calorie deficit and do exercises you enjoy. Also, can't fight genetics.
  • I love sweets. Mostly cake, muffins, etc. I've confined them to the weekend, and it's been working out well so far.
  • It's most likely jealousy. People don't like change either. Sorry you had to hear that catty gossip...don't listen to them. I am sure you look great. Be proud of your success! We're all proud.
  • I wish I knew! Putting off grocery shopping...
  • You're so beautiful! I'm sorry you had to experience that kind of abuse for so long. Keep going, do this for you! We're all behind you. You look awesome!
  • Make sure you get enough sleep, first of all. Can't replace that. As for caffeine, drink coffee or tea if you don't want to have coke anymore.
