  • tight pants could work for me too but not because they're constricting my stomach... because I feel I will burst out of them if I eat like a horse, lol.
  • The rash I get on my arm every summer disappeared. I forgot it was even a thing and just realized it today! Before beginning this WOE a few weeks ago, it was making its way to full swing

  • Did you read the launchpad when you clicked on the forum? It's very helpful and will tell you what you need to know about carbs, intake, net carbs, all that stuff. I agree with the macro numbers Fit_goat recommended. As far as whether or not it will work for you, it depends on your goals. We are eating this way for life,…
  • Well honestly I would stop having expectations and just let your body do it's thing. I know that is difficult! 5lbs is great though for two weeks. You typically want slow and steady weight loss because that is more likely to be maintained. When embarking on this WOE, the first two weeks you lose the most weight because you…
  • would definitely be interested in reading it. It's funny how I lost the most weight doing no exercise and just eating well. I feel sorry for people who think they have to kill themselves at the gym to lose weight, when it is probably their diet that is the real problem. Now that I'm keto adapted (stopped feeling super…
  • I think .8 is a lot for a week.
  • Hmm I wish I could help. I would definitely talk to a doctor, and perhaps a dietitian that is down with low carb high fat. The medical issues could be the actual problem... who knows :-S
  • Not interested, unless it's something I truly want. Like some Christmas cookies. Then it's totally worth deviating. But otherwise I have to say I'm not interested. I don't consider alcohol and dark chocolate cheats though, as I regularly have them.
  • Yes, much more accurate with my scale. And a lot fewer measuring cups/spoons to clean.
  • Cake. I see cake and I get weak. I'm fairly confident if offered I could say no without a problem now though. But still...awfully tempting.
  • 50 or under per day. I've been eating berries. I'm not against fruit. But if I eat a banana it better damn be worth being 20-30 carbs (it's totally not)
  • That's why I don't log gains unless they stick for longer than a couple weeks
  • umm... I think about 5lbs Sizing is fickle, I compared two pairs of pants only one size different and the difference in the waist was only about an inch
  • I appreciate you making this clear. I've been eating 50 or under as of late, and I couldn't see how I wasn't in ketosis, based on what I experienced. I'm the kind of person that needs things just spelled out, leave out the fluff. I figured 20 carbs would get you into ketosis "fast" but for me that's a measure of extreme…
  • When you actually don't mind seeing the fat covering the shredded beef you made the night before. I never had a fear of eating fat, but the sight of it grossed me out and I'd scrape it off. Now I don't really care... just heat it up, I know it's what will fill me up!
  • Third week here, you and anyone else is welcome to add me
  • I found that to be true. It sounds like broscience but I swear I get better results if I do make a change for one day, like eating at a surplus, to jump progress forward.
  • You'll have to pry my diet coke out of my cold, dead hands. So far I'm to the point where I don't miss bread and don't feel like I am missing out by not having it! I haven't had to deal with pizza yet but honestly the toppings are the best part anyway....
  • Oh! Thank you CoconuttyMummy, I could totally make the mocha rocket fueled latte... that really works out since I'm addicted to sweets, lol. I'll try the egg nog too. I think I was more interested in the rocket fuel since the creator said it's better for women in terms of satiety and for hormones. Plus, I still have a…

  • Personally I'm just worried about counting carbs. I was logging my food for like a week, eating around 2500 cals a day, and managed to stick to low carb, moderate protein and high fat. Everything seems to be moving along fine. If I were to track calories again, I think I'd go insane... but that's just me! They do count and…
  • Thanks, Teneko. Bulkapothecary.com is the cheapest online I've seen so far. With the shipping, a 14oz amount of cocoa butter plus shipping is about the same amount you paid for a giant brick of it at the coop! I guess I could check out local health food stores and just save up.

  • Dark chocolate that is at least 70% cacao. Squashes all cravings for me, and I'm addicted to sugar Oh, and sugar free jello.
  • I still haven't tried it, but I really can't imagine it'd fill me up better than food. Interested though, because I love creamy drinks. And actually I am more interested in trying the rocket fuel latte, but I was scouring the internet looking for where I could buy the ingredients... and they're all ridiculously expensive…

  • Love it, I'm new to counting carbs and I really appreciate the ideas!
  • Outstanding!!!
  • Praise the baby Jesus these exist. I haven't tried pork rinds in years because I didn't like them, but being that I'm counting carbs I thought I'd give em another go. Soooo good. I have a regular and bbq flavor, and like the bbq better. I can eat stuff out of a bag again, yay!
  • I agree! It's honestly amazing how many of the things we experience are diet related.
  • Yeah, when my bf had a deep tissue massage he got extremely sick afterwards... hospital said it was dehydration, which is common after deep tissue massages. But he had also been REALLY stressed out and I think the massage released a lot of that stress. Hit him like a ton of bricks. I totally believe exercise, fat loss,…
  • I believe listening to your body is an amazingly helpful skill to have. 30 to 50 carbs on a primal diet feels good? Great! Stick with that :) I know you're looking for someone to tell you a way to make it work or to validate that this is the right way, but that's basically what this entire thread has been about. You don't…
  • Yesterday was the test. I go to LA once a week (haven't been in two weeks, since I started counting carbs) and on the way back I am absolutely STARVING unless I bring a full course meal. Well, on the way home yesterday I was still very hungry but I didn't feel like I was going to die or kill anyone... lol. So that is…
