I think the bike burns most out of the four if you turn the resistance up and really push as it focuses on your largest muscle groups. If you feel your legs are going too fast you must not have turned the resistance up. The machine that feels the hardest or most like effort will burn the most.

See your doctor/talk through your issues hun. Internet strangers aren't going to give you the help you need!

I can't do this exercise because it hurts my hamstrings too much!! :(

Biking's an amazing workout - you need to bike harder!!

you will only build the extra muscle that your body needs to build to adapt to those exercises. You won't end up looking like Arnold. and who cares what you weigh if it's muscle gain? you don't walk around with your weight tattooed to your forehead.

Yes, you can. I'm training for the loch ness marathon in scotland

did you eat back those 2000 calories because you "earnt" them? I bet you did not burn that much in addition to your daily requirements. Most likely you have fluid in your muscles and extra food in your digestive system.

My little tuppence worth, following on from previous poster... Keep the A days as rest days except for ONE of them in a group go out for a short run/run walk after work before you eat dinner. I know you're tired, but I work 12 hour shifts as a doctor running around a hospital and I know you can still run and feel good when…

Maybe that's a sign that the weight you have chosen is too low for your body. I agree with the above poster - start lifting anf building muscle and you'll find your frame looks better and less "skinnyfat" - skinnyfat isn't too much fat it's not enough muscle. Severe diets will make the situation worse not better.

The graves disease may have contributed to the weight loss as well O_o

I'd actually agree with the OP that a 'diet' cutting out a whole food group is miserable and pointless. When I lost my weight I DID reduce the amount of carbohydrate I ate, in terms of portion sizes. And a few meals a week were starch-free. But I love exercising and like to have a diet that compliments this. Plus I don't…

Agree with the above comments. I've suffered a stress fracture through ignoring shin splints 3 years ago. So I'd add to rest and cycle until the pain goes away, like you did before. Then you can implement the rehab exercises and changes suggested above for your return to running.

You need to stop eating crap NOW!

Bu leaning backwards, I hope you mean - sticking your bum out backwards. If you lean backwards you're definitely doing it wrong! lol! Chest UP, butt BACK, knees over feet, lower back and abs tight!

Not ALL the research. A lot of the research. There's also evidence it can help. There's not enough evidence for the NHS to subscribe to it. But who are you to quash people's hopes?

Squates are bad for the knees if u do them incorrectly. They are good for the knees if done correctly as they help strengthen the quad muscles (amongst others) which are knee stabilisers.

Me too :(

I'm sorry to be blunt but those comments of your mum are unacceptable. She is clearly jealous of you because of her own insecurities and failings, and is subconsciously trying to bring you down. 1. Don't let the comments get to you 2. Tell her where to get off.

Thanks for posting this link I ran a marathon and got a pb in december and I'm training for Paris at the beginning of Apr. Lifting has dramatically improved the way I feel when I run - specifically hills, and core strength when i tire. All my workouts bar the long run are focussed on making my legs burn for increasing my…

it's very unlikely they are burning 1000 calories per hour.
