I generally only weigh myself once per week at the same time of day. This way the ups and downs of the week sort of even out. Sometimes I go two weeks at a time...especially if I have had a bad week.

It's definitely tough to get through the weekends. I love food and enjoy drinks with friends and I have realized just how much that has sabotaged my weight loss. If I know I'm going to eat out, then I'm really good for the day and save the calories and fat. As for drinks, I'm not doing so well there...haha. But it sucks to…

I agree with nickhuffman74.....sign up and go for it! It will be great motivation and you will probably surprise yourself. And if you have to walk a little at the end, you will still FINISH A 5K, which is a great accomplishment.
