Might want to look into shoes geared for pavement, I always switch it up when I start training for half marathons outside. Took a peek at your diary, and it looks like you are coming in way under on protein most days. Might be worth trying to bump that number up, but be careful how you do it, still need to keep your total calorie count in check even though you need to add protein. Usually, this means you'll have to drop calories in carbs…

I attend a boot-camp group that runs 4 days a week. We do HIIT type circuits and such, everyone starts off on different stations and rotates. There are some folks who sign up with friends, and just chat the whole time instead of do ANY of the work. It does effect the group dynamic. We are all there to work our butts off.

Please ...rack....your...weights ... 10lbs goes where they marked the thing with a "10lbs" sticker. I'm not sure what makes me more sad, the lack of weight racking or the inability to match numbers. Is this a reflection on the deterioration of home teaching of manners AND our education system?

Mine is open to friends. Been pretty consistent even on bad business trips where there is dining and drinking. Only lag is when I was without internet for a week. And if it was a going out sort of weekend I'll punch in a big number. You'll find my diet goes from Rabbit food to Costco pizza and Burritos.

On the Peninsula here. Been looking to find active work out/ sports friends. I'm signed up with Fitforlifesolutions and have a 24hour card, bikram once a week and trying to get back to consistent Martial Arts training in my east bay dojos.

At your weight and height, I'm not sure you have much actual "poundage" to lose. If its the flabby bits you want to make go away, I would actually suggest doing strength training and toning up. That may even require you to eat a bit more as muscle takes a different kind of effort to build.
