You know, I was checking out my lower abs today and I think this may actually be really developed hip muscles playing in too! I can actually "flex" mine! It's like lower abs and connection to hips I think. For me, anyways. :)

When you work your core a lot and get a really strong lower core there is a protrusion that can happen in the lower ab area in my opinion. 5'6, 125lbs was maintaining at 2000 calories (net, I eat back ever single exercise cal! ;)) Now bulking and eating more and have put on a few lbs since I began (woot).

Okay, I am going to try lifting with 2 days rest (and cross training with yoga and climbing) in between and see what happens. If I don't like it I will re-think the climbing so often and switch it up again. :)

5'6 and my abs show even at 130lbs. All 6, too. Diet is the biggest factor I have heard but genetics must play a role too.

I lost over 100lbs after I finished having babies and one I got to my goal weigh (125lbs at 5'6) I was still not happy with what I saw in the mirror. Flaggy, jiggly, just not appealing.
