Hi

I do an hour of Aerial Hoop and an hour of pole dancing a week. I would say that Aerial Hoop is harder work than pole.

How many calories roughly would you say I would burn for Aerial Hoop / Pole?

Thanks

  • It's been a while since you posted but I figure I'd answer anyways just in case. I have seen estimates for aerial hoop/static trap of between 300 - 400 cals per hour.

I'm surprised to read that you find hoop more strenuous than pole. What level Hoop and Pole are you? I do both as well, and I'd say in 1.5hrs of pole I burn 400cal and definitely less in hoop. It all depends on the routine and your level.
Wear a heart rate monitor during one of your hoop sessions and it will give you a better idea as each person is different.
