lentils are a fav of mine and you can do loads with them. I like to make a dhal which is is really nice and have it with salad or brown rice.

I ran my fastest mile ever today :) knocking a massive 34 seconds off my previous fastest!! Also got it 1 second under my goal ive had set for a month or so!! :happy:

Today's 4 mile run i averaged 11.22 per mile. When im at the gym ive been doing some speed work on the treadmill for the last 6/7 weeks since the 10k and its improved a lot as it was about 13.30 per mile before. Sorry should have made it clear. I have never actually tried an egg! My mum hated them so i was never given them and her dislike for them has rubbed off on me so just wanted some ideas on hows best to try them for the first time so i would potentially like them. The 10k was good. The furthest i had done before it was 4.5miles so there was some walking involved. Plus it was the hottest day of the year so far when i did it!!! Was not prepared for that but still made it round in one piece! Im doing the other 10k in November and hoping to improve my time quite a bit as ive had more…

Intrigued to read the first post now! Well done you for keeping at it!! I decided in May that i was going to do a 10k and signed up for it in July. Had never run before and followed c25k and then went it alone. I managed the 10k and have now signed up for another in November and then a 1/2 marathon in May next year!…

Runners world has a good 12 week beginners plan which my friends currently doing. I started with c25k but found it a bit restrictive as i felt i could do more so only used it up to week 5 i think. But it was a good starting point!

At the gym i go to i just ask the staff how to use machines and weights, which is best to use, how to use weight correctly ect and they are all really friendly and helpful.
