I started above 250lbs and do eat back my exercise calories. I've recently increased my calorie intake in general and it seems to have kickstarted the loss again.

I'm just starting week 2 this week after almost 3 weeks of doing (and re-doing) week 1. Never thought I'd come close to completing even a full day of week 1 and so am excited to be tackling the next stage now. In the UK we can download the programme podcasts for free (NHS) and it seems to do the job fine.

Welcome! I started with about 108 to lose, and it hasn't been quick or easy, but definitely achievable. I'm so pleased (and motivated) to have the half-way (or weigh.....) point in my sights. I'm sure you can do whatever you set your mind to.

I get the 'rant' - not offensive at all.

Thanks everyone - will keep going at my almost snail pace for now and worry about speed later on :)
-
How exciting - I do wish you well for the race. I started C25K over 3 weeks ago and yesterday, at last, finished week 1 fully. I am so much more unfit than even I realised. Tomorrow sees me try day 1 of week 2 - let's see how many weeks that one takes me! Good luck again for the weekend.

Another hi and welcome from the UK. I started using the site at the beginning of the year and have become somewhat attached to it, and the people on here! I'm certainly changing my lifestyle rather than dieting. Wishing you lots of luck with achieving your goals.
-
Welcome on board - I'm sure you'll continue to love all the tools, and the support from every on here.
-
Welcome - I hope you enjoy the journey on here. Good luck with achieving your goals.

Hi and welcome on board - I'm one of the ones on here with lots to lose too, but I'm finding being able to share the journey with everyone else, makes it that little bit easier! Good luck with your losses. :)
-
Welcome on board - I'm sure you'll soon love it here and find loads of like-minded people to share your journey. Best of luck with achieving your goals.
-
That's great to see - a big well done to you. I'm the same height as you, and started around the same weight, and I struggle to imagine what I'll look like at different stages, so thank you for sharing! Good luck with remaining loss.

I love the fact that it's not only motivational to lose weight, but others are all focused on becoming fit and healthy. I've found this contagious and remain totally motivated 4 months on. Wishing you lots of kuck on your journey.

Welcome - embrace the site and the great people you find along the way and you'll do great! It does become somewhat addictive though ........ I love seeing the success stories and am constantly inspired.
-
Great idea to plan ahead like this - I'm going to pinch this idea and work out my work outs for the coming week!
-
Hi welcome - wishing you lots of success!
-
Hi and welcome on board!
-
I don't think it's rude at all - we've done the same thing this weekend when visiting my parents.
-
Hi and welcome - look forward to seeing your successes over the coming months. I'm struggling to get anywhere near able to do a 5k, so impressed with your marathon goal. Alison (in Essex)
-
Hi to you both and welcome on board! I'm in the UK too, but with loads to lose - am enjoying the journey so far.
-
From Yorkshire originally, but living in sunny Essex.
-
I've downloaded the UK NHS podcasts and I am soooo not a runner. It's taken me 3 weeks, and yesterday I did day 1 fully for the first time.
-
Was thinking this myself today.... will be interested to hear everyone's thoughts...
-
Wishing you loads of luck - you CAN do it :)
-
I'm still in pre-week 1 - can't even manage the 8 individual runs as yet. Might take me a full year at this rate!! Look forward to seeing how everyone else gets on.

I love seeing my weight loss in pounds, but my milestones are still in stones and pounds. Next one will be 3 1/2 stone (49 pounds). Although weighing under 200 pounds (no idea what that is in stones..... Will need to work it out!) is my biggest milestone I want to reach over the next few months.
-
Another 2 walked this morning - great day by the seaside :) Off to the gym this afternoon so will get another few in then.
-
10lbs would be fab for this month, so here's me rising to the challenge: CW: 231 GW: 221

I have this problem - I do think I was squeezing into clothes that probably didn't fit properly. I'm still not down a full size in all clothing brands as yet, although am hoping any more loss will move me down sizes quicker now.

Hi All - great to be on board for April.
