  • I log them separate, although even with the slowest run in MFP, it's still somewhat ambitious compared to the speed I 'run' at.
  • I KNOW I'm obsessed, but I don't talk with about losing weight at all - but it is pretty much all my husband and I speak about at home!! I don't care though, this is the only way that we're both going to achieve what we need to and make sure we're never going back to where we came from!
  • :noway: Twice as fast..!!!!!! I am SOOOO far off that. Maybe I'll always be a walker/jogger rather than a runner. I can't every imagine going twice as fast as I can walk. Now I am even more in awe of those who can
  • I know what you mean, but don't have an answer. I can 'run' no faster really than I can walk - but am more stretched (physically) if I run. Would love to better understand it ......
  • I've just finished week 3, although I've been doing the programme for about 5 weeks - it took me nearly 3 weeks to do week 1, so although I'm in front of you, I figure some of you will easily catch me up! Week 4 next week is looking somewhat daunting. Good luck to all of you - I can't wait until I can say I'm a runner.…
  • That's fantastic - I'm one day off finishing week 3 and am finding the 3 minute runs OK - much easier than I found the 60 second runs when I first started, but I must admit I can't imagine being able to do the 5 minute runs next week. You have, however, given me hope!! Well done to you both :flowerforyou:
  • Happened last week when I went back to see my parents. They saw us or the first time in 4 months, so did notice a difference, but my Dad was really rude when he saw us checking the calories - refused to listen to any kind of reason. I gave up in the end with him. I'm not interested in wasting any more time listening to…
  • I'm on the journey to get under 200 - it feels a long way off at the moment, but am chipping away slowly. Good luck to everyone else
  • Hi and welcome - I'm sure you'll soon wonder what you ever did without MFP! Happy to share your journey with you and look forward to seeing your progress.
  • Welcome - I'm sure you'll find loads of support and motivation here. I am constantly inspired by all the great success that everyone shares. Good luck with achieving your goals.
  • Welcome on board - I've a similar goal. Good luck with your journey.

  • Welcome on board - good luck with your journey
  • I had them the first 2 days of walking (and trying to run...) - changed my shoes to a more cushioned sole, and haven't suffered again since. I'm not an expert (or even a runner), but it worked for me.
  • I would love to have my Mii do some mingling..... But my console isn't connected to the Internet- will have to look into how I do that.
  • I have the opposite problem - I used my HRM at the gym today and it claimed I'd burned over 1000 calories. MFP gives me about half that.
  • Done it - thanks everyone!
  • I couldn't work out how to reset the starting weight - off to have a look now.
  • Welcome Marie - I'm sure you've found the right place to achieve your goals and enjoy the ride long the way. Good luck with your journey!
  • Yeh! Welcome on board - you'll find loads of motivation AND support around here. I never cease to find both on a daily basis. Good luck with your journey.

  • Hi and welcome on board. I'm Essex, and my hubby and I joined together at the end of last year - we've become somewhat obsessed and I do worry what we'll talk about once we're at goal weight. I'm also 'addicted' to reading everyone's success stories - I've found everyone on here so inspirational - both for losing…
  • Really great article and a great success story for you both
  • (posted twice!!)
  • Just over 50, but not quite at my half-way point yet. Have been strictly counting calories since the beginning of the year, and just started exercising (last month). Seems to be working OK so far, but as I say, still a long way to go!
  • I'm happy with how it's working for me..... the easiest way I've ever found!
  • I've done the first day of week 2, and did it outside, which I found really hard. Think I'll stick to the treadmill until I've got a bit more stamina.

  • Me - and I'm crying like a baby!!
  • I've done week 1 for 3 weeks and have started week 2 today - I'm finding it easier on the treadmill than outside. I 'ran' by the seafront this morning and was nearly blown away! I can't imagine running any longer than 90 seconds at a time though.....

  • Enjoy the day! I will be waving my flag all day......... Does that burn any calories?
  • Me!! I spend ages looking at old photos and comparing with now piccies - I don't have many people around me noticing any loss, so it's hard for me to see it or believe it. I did however live in complete denial for years before I started this journey, so obviously didn't see the weight going on either.
  • I've had this once. In my case, I don't think I'd eaten properly in advance.
