That is soooo where I want to be - no longer obese and in 'onederland' - I'm not sure which comes first, but am looking forward to having both under my belt and never going back again!! Well done on your achievement - it's great to see your success.

I still don't get it, but believe it and will follow it. Only just (as in yesterday/today) introducing exercise into the mix and I don't want to stall at the first hurdle. Thanks everyone for being so informative - I do feel like the class dunce on here.....

Hi Sophie - welcome on board!! Happy to have you as a friend if you'd like to add me. I'm in North Essex, but working in London. You're way ahead of me with your approaches to food - would love to keep up to date with your progress.

Hi and welcome!! I'm always happy to share in someone else's journey - it's a constant motivation! Look forward to seeing you reach your goal

A-MAZ-ING! These are all fantastic.

That's fantastic - I can relate to most of your before list. Well done on the run and your great achievements.

What a great set of posts to read - you all never cease to inspire and motivate. I'm beautiful...... Because of all the great people I have in my life and will continue to meet along the way.

Hi and welcome! I'm sure you'll love it - I could spend all day reading about all the successes.

I've always understand fizzy drinks don't count towards water intake.

Happy for you, or anyone else, to friend me. I love sharing everyone's journey - the highs and the lows.

Welcome on board! Hope you enjoy the journey

That's great - and what a fantastic feeling!

Off to look into getting one - have also just found out the swim times at the local pool and aim to go check it out tomorrow.

Hi suzycreamcheese - I'm just down the A12 in Harwich.

Thanks for the feedback - I guess anything is better than the nothing I'm currently doing. Will try out some of your suggestions.

I know it's wrong and a terrible thing to do...... But I weigh daily. I only track once or twice a week, but I can't (or won't?) stop stepping on the scales every day.

I have drunk Diet Coke for years, and for the last 10, Caffiene-free. I know it's not good....I guess I should start at least trying to drink less. I average at least 4 per day. It does seem like it's my next demon to conquer.

I'm in Essex - there is a UK group active on the Motivation and Support area (I think that's where it is....). Welcome!

My husband and I are doing it together and have both lost almost the same amount of weight - I do feel like we are obsessed though and wonder what on earth we'll talk about once we've hit our targets. He will get there first (as unfortunately I have a lot more to lose :grumble: ), so he may then want to talk about…

What a fantastic achievement - well done! And thanks for sharing.

I aim to lose 7lbs per month and it's almost working out that way at the moment. I still have a long way to go though.

Welcome - great to hear you are doing well!

I agree with many of you - it just never crossed my mind whether or not it was private. I haven't once wanted to look at someone else's log (don't think I knew you could!) - I remain constantly amazed and inspired by everyone's successes, but don't believe that there's a magic cure for losing weight that I'll uncover if I…

Hi and welcome from a fellow Yorkshire-ite! ( I am in Essex now, but Yorkshire at heart still). I'm finding the site and the people on here a constant inspiration and motivation. Never thought I would enjoy losing weight so much. I seem to have the food approach working, just now need to sort myself out with some…
-
I'm with you on this one - I can't imagine owning up to what my starting weight was until I've lost a lot, lot more than I have so far. Never thought I was in denial - but I guess I am!!
-
Sounds great - you've also made me realise that my husband has never seen me lighter than I am now. I've just reached the weight I was when we got married, but want to go a lot further. It all feels very exciting - I look forward to following your progress. :)

I was just thinking about this..... I have a bike that I've had for years (and also haven't ridden for years!!) and am just about feeling as though I could bear to be seen in public on it without collapsing in a big sweaty heap before I'm out of my street. Need to clean it up and see if I can motivate myself to get moving.
