I took a month long break back in December and when I started up again, I deloaded on all exercises by 50% (this was per the SL5x5 app recommendation). It sucked that I had to go from a 125lb squat back down to 65lbs but I shrugged it off and took the deload as an opportunity to work on form. 5 months later and I'm…

Do you own a food scale? I weigh my chicken before cooking and after to get the serving size. I then select the brand that matches the nutrition label that I am cooking eating through MFP. Only way to get semi-accurate numbers.

I was (and still am) in the same situation. Got down to 150lb with a goal or 145lb. Started SL 5x5 and used that as an excuse to overeat cus I "needed" the extra calories (pretty sure I didn't need cheeseburgers twice a week, but that's a story for another day). I am 15lb heavier, and acknowledge that while some of this is…

Squat: 125lbs 5x5, though I'm thinking of deloading back down to 105 since I'm having trouble hitting parallel on my later sets. (any tips/advice on this would be greatly appreciated!) Benchpress: 65lbs 5x5 Barbell Row: 90 5x5, this was a struggle so I'm considering dropping the weight to 85lbs or repeating 90lbs

Yeah... this is a common occurrence at my university rec center. Either people are hogging racks/benches (i.e., standing in front of them while having 20 minute conversations with friends, staring blankly, not unracking, etc.) or rudely rushing people through sets. I was trying to finish up some bench press sets on Monday…

stronglifts is good & simple. You start with just a 45lb Olympic bar for most exercises, but you always start lower if need be.

I'm usually up by 5:45am and at the gym by 6am. I usually just have a few sips of water. Anything more and my stomach starts cramping and I feel nauseous. I haven't had any issues with my lifts so far (except for bad form, but that a story for another thread).

Get up and buy your own food next time?

lift heavy weights. Look into starting strength, stronglifts, strong curves, NROL4W, etc. If you do not have access to weights outside of your dumbells (not sure how much they weigh) you can start with a comprehensive body weight program. search the forums as well. There have been other similar posts so you maybe be able…

Did you read his OP? He has a chronic illness (ulcerative colitis) that causes weight loss/loss of appetite in some folks. From my understanding, he's in the process of trying to regain weight he lost while ill.

congrats on your successes, domineer! Keep up the good work!

I never really had to deal with them until I moved to the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic area for school. They were everywhere. My former roomie and I would try are best not to crush them and would just physically remove them from our apt. Luckily I don't have to deal with them as much down in Texas. Just flying cockroaches and…

If we're eating out, then yes. Usually more food than I should be eating anyway. I don't share my dessert, though! If we're cooking/eating at home, then nope cus I weigh and measure my servings just for me.

My cat sleeps in my bed, and one of her favorite pastimes is biting my toes while I'm trying to sleep. And when she's not doing that, she's walking on my chest or breathing heavily into my face. She has her own cat bed, but does not use it for some reason.

nothing. I have a bad habit of eating all of my snacks during lunch time :/

I have a polar ft4 which get the job done. I just use Runkeeper on my phone to track my runs.

I do 6-8oz of plain greek yogurt, and add around 40g of Sweet Home Farm granola, and craisins. Or hot cocoa & a scoop of french vanilla protein powder. Mostly use greek yogurt for smoothies, though.

I can relate to this, especially in Kenyan/Kisii culture where having some extra meat on your bones is a sign of good health. I went home after a 6 month absence (and around 25lbs lighter), and my mom was shocked and said that I looked like a bag of bones. Mind you I was around 155... Not excusing what is being said and…

depends on where I go (whataburger, Mcdonald's, Jack in the Crack, etc). I usually try to get something that I wouldn't make at home. Usually just your standard issue cheeseburger and fries. If it fits within your calories/macros, go for it!

I don't have access to a barbell set yet, but will once I start grad school and can use the rec center. In for the tips!

It's working pretty good so far. I saturate half of a cotton ball with acv and then wet the entire thing with warm water (so one part acv/two parts water??) and scrub gently. It's definitely helping and I'm trying to be diligent about doing it daily. She hates the smell though and tries to lick it off. It's been a few days…

I'm planning on using some today for crockpot bbq chicken. I also use it to treat my cat's chin acne. I would never drink it straight.

SXSW 2013, may have been a band called Death. That week is still a bit of a blur. Before that it was Rakim from Eric B. and Rakim in Austin.

I've had similar experiences with cat sitters that I have used. Both were work colleagues. First one took a shower in my apt and didn't bother turning the water off all the way so I when I came home there was water all of the floor. Second used the bathroom (no problem, you have to go when you have to go), but didn't find…

^^ I lived with a friend my last two years of undergrad and we are still close. Only thing preventing us from hanging out on a regular basis is the fact that she lives in Florida and I'm in TX. I think it depends on how open the individuals are to talking about issues or things that are bugging them. Problems start when…
