Awesome!!! Mine used to be in that range. Now I'm surprised when it's over 105. My A1C is running about 4.9 these days. So glad you've made this turn. Keep up the great work!

Learn from the past and move on. No time for regrets -- you've got your life to save. I started 3 years ago (2 years ago with MFP). You can do it. I know you can. Because -- if *I* can do it, so can you. Believe me. Just start. And start moving more. Whatever it is, find something that doesn't feel like exercise and do it.…

Cycling is my exercise of choice. I've got about 4,000 miles in since January. I've been cycling for a little over a year. You can see my loss number. Judge for yourself. :D I started very, very small -- 3 miles per ride. That's all I could do. I just built up from there. I just got home from a 47 mile ride and that's…

Two weeks with no weight loss isn't really "stuck." Be patient. This is a marathon, not a sprint. Your weight loss will fluctuate. Just stick with your plan. Consistency will win out over time.

I'm not sure what you're basing this on. I don't think there is any 1 answer to the question. People are different. Bodies are different. I have excess skin and I've done everything you've mentioned.

This is similar to a question I've had for some time now. Can you still lose if you're over a day or two here or there as long as you're under for the week? My thought is yes. I've committed to never being over on a given day - but as I near my goal and my daily calorie limit shrinks I wonder if periodically I can continue…

I've been biking for a year. And I've lost about 85 lbs during that time. I've ridden about 2600 miles in 12 months.

Endomondo also syncs nicely. It will track running, walking, cycling, etc.

I usually do a wrap but my recent favorite is hummus with carrots and celery. I add a greek yogurt for dessert.

Absolutely agree!

When I started I was "sure" I'd never lose what I wanted or needed to. But I started anyway. I committed to never being over my MFP calories for the day. What that means for me is if I eat a little too much I hit the gym or walk or ride my bike before I go to bed. I do this every day. I stay motivated by remembering how…

Way to go!! Congratulations on regaining your health. :-)

I use it and love it. Like MFP, it makes me aware and accountable to myself of my activity. If I find I don't have enough activity in a given day I make a conscious effort to get up and move, take the stairs, etc. It brings activity to a conscious level.
-
I have my settings on sedentary and use the fitbit. So if I get to a certain number of stairs or steps it logs exercise and credits calories. I've been doing that just since December and I'm happy with the outcome so far.

I get asked all the time by co-workers: "Are you losing weight?" Um, yeah 116 lbs. LOL! And when I tell them it's been 18 months I inevitably get, "Oh it's smart that you're doing it that slow." LOL And the classic, "Which surgery did you have?" LOL I didn't (not that it matters).

My inspirational quote: "Hey Fat *kitten* get out of my mirror!" Me LOL!

Guilt is a wasted emotion. Why feel guilty about something that is pretty much a necessity? Now you don't have to eat back the calories, but if you're doing substantial exercise, you've got to eat more than if you were sedentary. It's about balance. Balance the calories with your activity level.

Great job!
-
Absolutely. It's gone from round to much thinner. And I have my dimples back.
-
109 lbs down - I'm serious. I don't worry about what pics other people choose to post or not post. I get what I need, offer what I can and move on.

Quit listening to what everyone else thinks about your weight and go with what YOU feel comfortable with. Any boyfriend who tells you you need to lose weight (especially at 140 lbs) is bad news. There's 200 lbs you could lose really fast and be MUCH better off.
-
I started listening to audiobooks. It really helps pass the time. I was finding myself getting really bored on the elliptical and recumbent bike. Now I stay the full time without any problem with boredom.
-
Try to let go of worrying about what others may or may not be thinking about you. Celebrate the fact that you made the decision to make a positive action in your life. Anybody who thinks anything else isn't worth your energy. Good job for going! I know it's not easy initially.

3600 - all food. With about 2000 burned mountain biking. Before mfp, 3600 would be a low day, I'm sure.
-
You won't know for sure until you try.

I don't think it's unreasonable for the club director to not want their building and equipment destroyed. There is no need to drop weights or put them down hard. And yes, I know of what I speak. I was an all-american dead-lifter in high school. (515lbs) Sounds like you need to buy some weights and lift in your garage then…

Perhaps start with calling him something than your "ole man." Seriously.

You can do this. I know this because I'm literally the LAST person who I thought could do it. I've lost 104 so far and have about another 90 to go. Stick to your calorie count and try to move more and you'll get there. It took 15 months to lose the 104 for me. Good luck! Persistence pays off.
-
102 lost so far (in 15 months). I have another 98 to go.

Congrats! Keep up the great work!
