Don't let a setback derail you!

I will be 52 on Wednesday and I would be happy to lend motivation and support. I had lost weight and improved exercise but then it all slipped away with some stress and emotional eating. I have been back serious again for several weeks.

I'm 51 and I log every day. I took a break from logging and gained back 8 lbs in about 2 months. I know I need to stay aware of what I am eating. It helps to have friends to keep up motivation.

Thanks for all the information,Sounds like I'll have to try it!

Did it again! 30 DS level 1, it does make me sweat. I weighed in today and I was back to 147 lbs. I lost the 2 lbs that I gained back with reckless eating. Life is good!

Day 3 level one for me today. I feel like I am going in the right direction again. Comforting myself with food was leading to weight gain and I wasn't really comforted at all. Now that I started back to 30DS I am just not feeling as hungry making it much easier to stick to goals and log my food.

Today was my final day for week 2! I am excited to find out what torture hides in week 3. I hope there are fewer "planks". I get a real mood boost just feeling the accomplishment of getting through Jillian's workout. I have not seen any movement with the scale or inches but I know I am getting stronger and if I get that…

It is obvious that you guys are way more fit than I am! I am on week 2 day 3 and it is taking "everything I've got"! When Jillian has us go from plank jacks to mountain climbers, I am the one who is dying! It is getting easier as I learn the moves but you guys are an inspiration! Keep it up!

Week 2 Day 2 for me! I feel so uncoordinated! It is challenging and I have to learn the new moves. The plank moves into plank moves are killing me...no matter what Jillian says!Keep up the good work women!

Week 2 Day 1 for me today.I thought it was hard! I felt very awkward and had difficulty coordinating my arms and legs. My 3lb weights felt very heavy and the planks seemed endless.I tried to follow the modifications and not give up! I hope it gets easier!:frown:

I'm still here! I just completed Week 1 Day 5 before 8am. This is good for me because I usually don't get to it until much later in the day. I had more energy and gave it my all.The best thing is that I can now go through this whole day with the sense that I have already accomplished something good!Have a great Day!

OOOps! I pushed the button too soon! I wanted to say that this messages is so right and so encouraging that I printed it out for myself to re-read when I feel discouraged. The only way I made it through the 30 Day Shred was with reading the the encouragement of the other participants in the group. I am 50 years old and I…

Week 1 Day 4 for me and I think it might be getting a little easier!

I just finished my Day 3 of RI30. I DO like it better than 30DS but it may just be that I am stronger now after completing 30DS. I am going at a slower pace with more rest days adding cardio and walking on the off days. I want to make regular exercise my new lifestyle that I can "stick to" and feel good about. I am not…

NSV! I can touch my toes!! I have ALWAYS been less than flexible, even as a kid in gym class. I just completed Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred with the help and encouragement of the MFP October 30 DS group. Today,I moved on to Ripped in 30 with the new November group as I was able to easily touch my toes without bending…

I'm in! Day 1 done! It really seems like a progression from the 30 day shred. It seems like the next step. It was not as hard as I had imagined. SW 142 lbs GW 136 lbs

DONE! I can't believe I made it through! Thank you to my new friends for your help and encouragement. I could not have made it without you! (I would have given up for SURE!) While I have not lost a single pound or inch, I am much stronger and a whole lot less "jiggly". I celebrate the "losses' of others and hope that I…
