@IonHouse: I'm not exactly sure of my BMR because my stomach disease makes me constipated so my true weight is hard to know, but by looking at trends in my weight plus how much I have eaten I am able to get a rough idea. I initially used the calculator on www.iifym.com but once I had enough data points using the former…

I've had a massage and while it felt great, it didn't do much. I've been to a nutritionist and the only thing worthwhile that she said was to experiment. I was like "wow, glad we wasted money on you." Once I cycle off the medication I'm hoping that I can continue this momentum and at least maintain my weight, if not…

Yup, anything and everything is on the menu for this month. I'm thinking of having a whole half pound Reese's cup this weekend, close to 1,200 cals in one cup alone!
-
I'll check it out in case I want to order some when I run out of my current stash of 3 2lb tubs. Thanks again!
-
I have Cellucor's Whey protein powder and it tastes great and mixes really well, so I'm all set there. Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate it.
-
Hah yea that's what my Dad said too. I'd take some if it were possible.
-
@Macybean: It has been a lot better ever since I got on medication for it. I use spray when I make protein waffles in my waffle maker and just use it for my eggs since I already have it out, but I'll switch to butter. Eating the skin sets my stomach off, so I have to avoid it unfortunately which is why I eat chicken…
-
@Annette: It definitely is, but I don't like chocolate by itself. Now Reese's on the other hand rock, I have the 1/2lb cups in my freezer waiting to be eaten this weekend hah. @GBPack: Ahhh! I was debating about getting cookies n' cream at the store not a half hour ago, looks like I'm going back tomorrow hah. Yea I eat too…
-
@djeffreys: Nice shake, wish I could do it. How many over maintenance is 2,900 for you? I definitely need to hit up ice cream more, about to go pick some up. @GBPack93: I'm guilty of eating too clean. I really enjoy eating brussel sprouts, broccoli, artichokes, salmon, chicken with mustard, and tons of strawberries, but…

Add me as well, seeing what others eat gives me new meal ideas.

I know this, but thanks for typing all this out. Before bulking, I unconsciously ate predominantly fat and protein but lately I've been limiting my fats to a degree and it has helped. I've been having more potatoes, oatmeal, and fruit and I can get hungrier quicker after eating them.
-
Due to my disease, which causes massive constipation, my weight can fluctuate by like 3-4lbs with all the food in my system so I'm hoping I don't have to gain a true 7lbs. But dang, 2,600 is a lot for me, not used to eating that much. Better to overshoot though, ugh bulking problems hah. Sweet potato fries are good, I…

Yea as I mentioned I can't do milk, or even coconut milk. I don't know why, but I literally cannot drink any kind of shake unless it's just protein and water. I added a banana once and couldn't eat for the rest of the day due to stomach pains. I've been pounding peanut butter, potatoes, and junk food but was looking for…

You look great! Always refreshing to see a girl eat more and look better, if only some of my friends understood what you do. 2,000-3,000 cals, you must be pretty active right?
-
Thanks for the site! I don't think letting a pre-mix sit overnight would do anything, but if I try the one out that you linked I will do so. Never heard of that technique with the pan, may have to give it a shot some time. Good thing breakfast is everyday, and sometimes for dinner as well! hah

I have never used my cast iron before so I will make sure to not let it get too hot. I only have an electric stove in my apartment, so I will see how it goes. That's cool that your son enjoys yours the best, I'm the same way with my Dad and his steaks; much rather have one of them than go out.
-
Which pre-mix do you use? I've tried Aunt Jemima's complete buttermilk mix and it is good, but like you said it depends on the amount of water. I have not tried making it in a cast iron pan, so I may try that some time and see how it goes.

If I could make pancakes better than IHOP does I'd be all over them and not worry about going there, but unfortunately I cannot. I can make pretty good ones from oat flour, 2 egg whites, a banana, and some blueberries, but not close to IHOPs. Nice job with the cooking, home cooking is always better for you. How do you make…
-
Nuts? not for me then, I do not digest nuts well; thanks for the heads up. Thanks for all your help Naomi, I appreciate it! IHOP rules, who cares about the naysayers hah.
-
I do agree that using a food scale at home is the best, and I do that when I can, but I like to treat myself to a good meal out. Part of the fitness lifestyle is being able to go out to eat with people and not sweat it, so I can do that without worrying about it (for the most part heh). I actually have to force myself to…

Actually, fast food restaurants are very accurate with their portions and calories because they make everything uniform so it can be made quickly and be reproduced to taste the same way across all stores. The only variable here is the amount of butter, but other than that it's pretty accurate. It even beats things you buy…
-
Because I enjoy eating the pancakes there, who really cares where it is? I also love Outback because they make a really good prime rib. Yea I go to nice restaurants too, but I honestly enjoy the pancakes there and will continue to go there. IHOP also has really great customer service, something that surprised me. Thanks…
-
I have not had the chocolate chip pancakes, although they do look good. I'm more of a blueberry pancake guy, but I don't think I would like IHOP's blueberry pancakes because it seems like they drown the pancakes in the blueberry compote. Might get it on the side if I decide to try it.
-
It is confusing. I called their customer service number on the IHOP website and there is not a consensus. I've gotten three people tell me the butter is included in the 470 calories because the nutritional info reflects the dish "as served," but then two other people said that it does not include butter. I then called the…
-
I know that, that's why I get sunny-side up eggs! I couldn't believe it when I first learned about that, but it doesn't matter since I love runny yolks.
-
Yes, finally! Someone else who loves IHOP just as much as I do! Hah. I know the pancakes do not include the syrup, but I'm so confused on the butter. The Belgium waffle is listed at 400cals and says it includes the butter, but the pancakes do not specify. So do you think the butter is not included in the 470 calorie count…

I don't know if they had the honey mustard dressing, I'll check it out, thanks.

10lbs of muscle is possible in 6 months, you can gain anywhere from 1-2lbs per month of muscle. Read up on Lyle McDonald's site, body recomposition, it has a lot of info on the subject. You can't gain pure muscle though, so aim for around 15-20lbs to gain and cut the fat afterward.
-
It literally takes me 2mins to plan out my food for the next day, you are definitely doing something wrong. Try typing in whatever food you are looking for then add USDA at the end, this will bring up the USDA entry which is accurate.
-
Yea I'm confused by this as well. You need excess calories to gain weight yet you want to do cardio so that you burn off any excess you eat, so what do you really want to do then, maintain or bulk?
