Two words. Peanut butter.

Uh, the bad information on this site is just overwhelming. I really doubt you're eating too much protein. Guy's should be 150+ and girls should be 100+. I'm getting sick of defending that statement, but if you want just take a look at any bodybuilding website and they'll tell you the same thing (1g protein per LBM) Or, you…

Yeah most people who don't lose weight when they eat their exercise calories is because they don't accurately measure/weigh their food or overestimate their activity level when calculating daily calorie usage. I'd say put Light and don't put anything but gym time or running in. Leave out the working around the house/…

If you were wondering what the bumps are really called it's Keratosis Polaris. There's no cure but the better treatments are tanning and lotions with salicylic acid combined with exfoliation.

Very little is 'absorbed' in the stomach. A lot of digestion doesn't even happen there. There is principally protein and carb breakdown to a mush but not absorption and it is not until the small intestine that 85% of absorption and most of digestion happens. Still, time-wise, I'd say a 20-30 min is probably close. Depends…

Is this some ploy to get guys to add you to friends?

Protein. A lot more. I'd say 110g protein and 50g a day of fat. Fill the rest in with carbs depending on how much you work out.
-
Most likely you're overestimating the calories you burn, have your activity level set too high, or don't weigh / measure your food properly. It only takes 250 cals a day to go from 1 lb to .5 lb. On the plus side, it's incredibly common so don't feel bad. There was a study on nutritionists who counted their calories or…

Why do you want to eat more in the morning? So many studies show it doesn't matter at all. That said, I just eat a Cliff Builder protein bar every morning, have an 11 o clock salad, and protein shake in the afternoon before I work out
-
Probably neither out of those 2 methods. Get a pair of calipers and ask someone who has used them before to do it.

Chemistry/biochemistry nerd ;)

MFP sets your protein WAY low. Way way low... most of you ladies should be in the 100-120g range per day. A side benefit... protein makes you feel MUCH more full... even more so than fiber. Basically how protein works is that you can process ~25g per hour. Excess is excreted in the urine. Protein keeps tissue repair in a…

The difference is they have a trainer work them out 3-4 hours a day. Most of us spend around 1 hour.... enough to burn some calories but not enough to make it a whole days worth. Those people probably use around 2000 calories in exercise a day. It's just impractical and probably not the healthiest way to do it. Anyways,…

Friend me and check out my diary. Most people here don't eat enough protein. You don't need 170g+, but you do probably need ~110g.
-
168! Also- my user name is changed. It used to be abriasffxi.

"my foods' are stuff you save yourself - 'my maels' are meals you can put together on that tab at the top I think you're looking for 'Recently' or 'Most used' which are the first 2 tabs I think. The caveat - it goes by meal time, so each meal will have different foods in those first tabs

As far as lean body mass retention goes - here are the guidelines most use. Over 20% bodyfat = safe to lose 2.0 lbs / week 15-20% bodyfat = 1.5 lbs / week 10-15 % = 1.0 lb / week Below 10%.... it's gonna be tough and slow. Most people just recomp.

I set mine on Light and only count exercise that is out of the way - running or lifting. Some people put sedentary and wear a pedometer. Whatever floats your boat.
-
Mine is gone 95% of days. Every now and then I REALLY crave something though.... but if I drink a big glass of water and eat a protein bar it goes away.
-
Yeah.... no need for a diet plan at all. The reason it works is because it's under calories lol. One of these days people will finally understand...... sigh
-
I don't go to the grocery store hungry, I already know what I'm buying and I only buy things that I would not feel guilty about eating. Don't kid yourself if you buy cookie dough and act like you're not going to eat it except 'special occasions'. And I just don't eat out.
-
Both actually. This is actually the only time a lot of bodybuilders have carbs at all when they are on a cut :)
-
For sure man. If you want to add me and get a general idea of what your day should look like feel free. I'm warning you now, you're going to have to lose a lot of the foods you love. After 2-3 weeks you'll forget about it but it's tough :)
-
Oh.... no clue... mine works I just tried. Might want to try the tech support section of the forum though :p

Share your diary? Food > settings > Bottom choices pick what you want , friends, public, etc > apply

and as for sodium..... the fear is mostly over rated. Yeah it might be 1-2 lbs but I don't really worry about it. Before weigh-ins you'll want to phase it out and drink a TON of water 2-3 days before then stop all together the last day but I'm sure you've been through that.
-
cuts as in losing weight. bulking = putting on weight (as much muscle% as possible) then a cut to get rid of the fat that inevitably accompanies the muscle growth on a bulk
-
Probably going to be the last to go :( After I do bulks my neck inches go down more than my stomach inches until i hit my normal 15.5.

Ok first off..... fruits should be eaten for their nutritional benefits of vitamins IF THEY ARE EATEN AT ALL. Honestly, they aren't that great of a food group. Welcome to America where we have been using the wrong food pyramid for the last 50 years. Second off there's a lot of chemical misinformation here but I'm not even…
